I'm still thinkin how to make up the LED plug. Might have to get a short length of clear perspex bar, thread it with a 1/2" die & turn it to shape on a lathe. Bit expensive for just a plug though, with the 1/2" die costing me £15 alone.
Sounds like a good idea. I've got a 1/2" to 1/4" thread brass reducer here, that with a bit of modding & shortening might be good to use with a coolplex plug.
The coolant i'll be using is Zalman's ZM-G100. It's blue so i'll probably just use a white led to illuminate it. With the coolplex plugs the led's are push-in so they're simple enough to swap out.
On the subject of lighting I will need to come up with an effective but subtle way of adding light to the case. I think cathodes would be too big & overpowering. Maybe a few strategically placed led's would be better, but i'm jumping the gun here a bit.
