Project Flynn

This is the thing with computers, its also the reason you test everything on air first... when i had my build sorta-kinda up and running it would always crash before the bios, i took of the motherboard waterblock same thing, i took of the motherboard + cpu and it booted fine but the cpu waterblock back on and the whole thing was fine... i would just strip the loop and start again

Ill get a crappy cpu cooler and strip everything when im puttin it in the case and run the thing dry for handiness but if even then it doesnt work well i know for a fact its nothing i have done and i will be rma ing the board

had an idea. im gonna try unplugging the 2tb drive before i turn the thing on. i have heard of people have difficulties after installing a second drive. so hopefully this will maybe remedy some of the issues

Hey people small update. Things have been manic for me and as you know its easter which means a few day off work. So today i went to a generic uk wide hardware store to get some items that i need to get crackin on the desk while the board is still with aria/asus (i dont know) so i had hoped that there would be a 115 roughly hole saw to make things simple. There wasnt so i bought a jigsaw files clamps set squares and a dust mask so i shall maybe have some images of the progress in the next week. I had an idea about the watercooling situation seeing as im having 2 loops anyway i had the mobo ram and cpu in one loop wich was absolute HELL getting piped up so i was thinking of transfering the ram into the orange loop instead o te blue. It will make piping a million times easier. Wether or not it makes the thin cleaner im not sure i may just have to experiment lol. So yea thats that. Life is busy an time management is tough. Shall post soon. Enjoy your easter break

lolz. i spent 40 on each block dudeplus when the juice is running through em they look lush.

Ah right, yeah I know it looks good to have everything WC, but I was just thinking if it's more effort than it's worth, it's not like it's a necessity.

The wcing in general i a massive effort but its worth it. The project has hit a speed bump. My second solderin iron has melted itself so im reconsidering some things also the leds explode on contact with the iron

hey guys. just an update to say that i hate computers. so i rma'd my motherboard to aria and they said there was nothing wrong after a month of waiting. so i get it back i i order some parts which still havent arrived from specialtech. i doubt they have sent them. so i set up the system barebone for testing with only the cpu block on and what do you know but its still doing dubug code 34. so i today already have done tests with my ssd and odd, with my odd ssd and hdd, those two setups with 1 stick of ram. reseated all power and data cables. so i dont know what do do. are aria just douchebags and once something is out their door its not their problem, are asus crap, is there something wrong with my graphics card. i dont know and it is driving me insane. the one good thing from it all is this corsair k90. it is lush. its the first time i have used it and it is simply glorious. nice even led glow, smooth button action. i swear if it wasnt for this keyboard i would have put a hammer through the centre of it as i am getting to my last legs with it. imagine sending a board to the supplier cos you cant access the bios for 25 quid,. they get it and then send it back saying it works. i may send asus another email asking their advice cos its just not fair

hey guys. happy update. i managed to get it to work. i was in the bios. i have set my cpu voltage to 1.45 with a 45 multi and im about to start stability testing. so i shall work away and see if i cant make it a little leaner onm the volts eventually and i shall go from there.

SO EXCITED.

That's good to hear. How did you get it to work? Did it just start working randomly or did you do anything specific?

cheers broseph. this is what i did. i turned it off and switched to bios 1 which is the one i thought was broken. it said hit f1 to repair setup or something like that. i hit f1 it did the usual freezey thing so i crapped myself big style and i reset the thing and switched the dvi port on the gpu and the screen flashed red so i crapped myself again and i hit the reset button again and started to mash the del key and the rog logo appeared and then i entered the bios. tweaked a few settings and boom 4.5 ghz crappy s/p fans in push only didnt break 69oC two of my cores are significantly hotter than the other 4 but when i strip it down again i will use my ic diamond insead of the silver crap. im trying to get FAH setup atm but i have no idea what im doing. i joined the team and it says im doing 66098 ppd but i dont know if that is good, if it is using the cpu only or is it using the gpu aswell i have no idea. i need advice and experience lol

. I'm using as5 as well and temps don't seem too good so I will be replacing it with mx4 soon. Did you use the guide on overclock3d to set up F@H?

EDIT: 66098 PPD is awesome. If I fold continuously with good WU's I get a 45K average.
