Time to test out the replacement wheel. Not time for cable tidy - Game on!!
Its a very nice wheel, and I'm gonna be hot on your heels... may take a while though, will be doing a few laps later...
gotta give credit to all controller users, its either they are very good with it, or its Controller OP.
I think you guys need to pick up the wick a bit, either that or its down to F1 2016 teaching me the racing line. . .

WTF so are we using toddler settings now, put the training wheels back on.... I'm confused are we racing or booking Uber.
Stability/traction control should be blacklisted.
I find controller without ABS tricky due to deadzone, with pedals not so bad.
Nah you just need to be gentle with the throttle and brakes, I have no issue at all with controller only time I have problems is if I'm pushing too hard and over cook things. I'd dread to think where I'd place using ABS, being able to brake while cornering would shave tonnes off my laptimes.
Being able to brake while cornering is not going to be beneficial at all. Also ABS on doesn't help doing that in this car. If you want to do that, just set up the brake bias so it's at the rear.
Stability control was accidental, but ABS on this car makes a huge difference. Anyone who says it doesn't, turn it off and try again, then come back and say sorry lol
I'm guilty of that as well. I just picked the car from the menu and went all guns blazing. From the discussion last month though I thought it was decided anything goes. Driving assists are dictated by the type of car under gameplay settings. So ABS, Stability and Traction aren't in the main tuning menu.
I'm happy to say have them on or have them off whatever the consensus is - It will, however be difficult to validate lap times for track/car combinations you've already run though, assuming driving aids make you faster.
I think for this month it's fine, but we do need to come to some sort of agreed settings list which is fair across the board. I only mentioned it due to the convo last month with Spa.I think making it too difficult is a bit limiting, should make it accessible for everyone. Dont want it to be elite drivers only

It's not really about that. If everyone uses the same settings there's no ambiguity of what assists work better than others. Having all assists on isn't good because that makes it boring for people who enjoy racing games and equally newbies won't improve. Having most of them off is probably a good balance, between fun and getting the best lap times.
By that token, the control method also has a big influence! A wheel will in many cases be a lot more precise then a joypad in prettymuch any situation, there is just a lot more control surface so to speak, on a wheel where 1 degree is actually 1 degree and not a small stick trying to cover the tiniest thumb movement translating to 10+ degrees.
If you all want difficult settings by disabling things that actually help some people get the car going somewhere quickly, then this starts to lose my interest, it becomes a game of frustration trying to keep this mercedes in line and taming it on a gamepad, it can be done yes but for me the fun ends prettymuch there.
There is no easy middle ground here, but the center piece should always be that anyone can enter and do a lap on their settings to see what they are capable of and trying to have a lil friendly competition.
Hard settings should have its own leaderboard on a different track with the same car that's on the main thread, that way you can have your difficulty among the people that love this and keep the main challenge a friendly game, with assists on/allowed, except brake and steering assists ofcouse, we dont need autopilot.
