We're back and still motoring, it's been a while but thought it was time to get the challenges back on track. Same rules as before, now Junes challenge is inspired by TTLs recent purchase and should be a good old laugh, we're taking the pony home to America to give her a good old work out. Further to this I shall be starting a new Assetto Corsa monthly challenge too so those of you with that title keep your eyes peeled it'll be a little different with much tougher restrictions (Pros only).

The rules are simple,

Use the car and track chosen for the challenge and post your times in the thread as a screen shot of the in game leader board, it's that simple. All valid times will be added to the main Lap Times board.

Your challenge for the month of June is as follows Road America with the Ford Mustang Boss 302 R1.

Hmmm think you may have to update to (Wheel) Wraith! Looking forward to the AC challenge as well.

I don't have it yet, will be here Friday though then I have the pain (joy) of setting everything up. With the AC challenge I need to be careful as I have most of the DLC so choosing track and car will have to be done with everyone in mind.

Calibrating doesnt take long. However the brake pedal is a tough one so if your pedals arent clamped, you might get annoyed with maximum brake power.

Alot of people ditch the clutch and use this for braking, but I think that's pants! I'd suggest during the calibration, depress the brake to 80-90% on the axis, and use this as your max brake force. Should help you.

As for AC. You can create a voting system. Highlight 3 or 4 cars let the people vote. Most popular will be that car for the month. And then create a new one for people to vote for following month, will give you plenty of time to get the votes in.

Drawing a pole for car selection is a great idea, top man.

First crack. Default setup with soft tyres and not a clean lap by any means.
Man this thing loves to back it in and powersliding around the horseshoe part is heaps of fun (but maybe not the quickest way)

In-car camera, full manual gearbox. Crappy office chair and desk mounted G29 wheel, pedals and shifter.

I still brake way too late. What's an Apex?

Took a 30 minute stab at this tonight. Nowhere near optimal driving (haven't played in months) and the car is stock so there's plenty to work with still. Nice car though.

Nice! I'm struggling at the moment, though I will say this. In the settings set the Weight Jacker to 0.0. ;)

im going to suck so much this weekend. Havent used my wheel in a long time since our last challenge when I hurt my ankle

If it's any consolation I've sprained my wrist at work so any twisting motion is agony and my G920 is due to arrive today. :(

Get on it Bonkers!!!

My wheel is here!! Just set it up and calibrated just how I want it, thown the stang around the track a few times and pow instant 10 second gain. Now, time for some serious laps and car tuning.

Shame it still says custom tuning. Managed a 2:19:xx with just changing the steering ratio. Not really fussed on the car though, seems too much power for the handling.

Yeah will do I centered the weight jacker yesterday otherwise she has a tendency to spin left under hard acceleration. I'll get round to some proper tuning later, this evening has just been getting used to a wheel again and tweaking the brake pedal (man is that stiff)

Yeah. You can at a later stage replace the spring to something more realistic if you feel like modding it. My issue is handling the trickier turns well and then screwing up the easy ones simply because I'm going too fast >.<
