Project: Ano-Li 343G

Thanks dude, Marcus has been a star running around chasing people to get this done and doing the mod work on the case as has been written about in previous posts, I just want to get this thing together now and make that cpu sweat abit!

My apologies for not keepin this thread updated :(

Has taken much longer than expected due to various reasons, one being the fact that we ended up laser cutting some custom rad grills and then had to wait for them to be anodised along with some extra bits being powder coated.

So continuing where I left off....

2mm Aluminum 360mm radiator grills.. DONE! :)

Custom grills anodised to match the case:

Green grills at last!

Now I do have more pictures but Tom has asked me not to post anymore until he has the item complete... sorry :p

Ah c'mon tiny...stop being a wuss and let us see some more pics. Nice update anyway Marcus, thank you :) The green and black contrast looks bloody slick imo :worship::yumyum:

Ill let the pictures talk for them selves but this was how this case was delivered to me.

The rads DIDNT fit in the roof as the fan holes didnt line up and as you can see the cuts arnt exactly great.

The whole case needs reworking and the roof is a complete write off so a new case would be needed.

So after 4 MONTHS this whole project is now a a **WRITE OFF**

and why.................

I don't see that the case is buggered. Why can't you just trim back the protruding edges at the top of the case to be flush with the rad grills? Any half competent case modder would stick a dremel or hand file to that & have it sorted in minutes. If the edges were cut back too far you might be concerned, but you've still got plenty of material to work with there.

As for the blotchy/scratched anodised finish, i'm sure if you explain the situation to Marcus000 he'll help you out.

if its cut back Id want it re anodising,

THE RAD TABS DONT FIT so it would need a new roof.

If you remove the anodising it will leave the base metal a darker shade so you wont match a new panel and an old panel colour wise (straight from anodisers mouth)

trust me mate the case is fecked. Only way to sort it is to powder it.

Plus Ive not waited 4months to have this delivered.

Id be embarassed to have sent this out and tbh I think its an insult.

Ive thought about posting these for ages and tbh I dont see why I should let you all know how angry and dissapointed I am after spending £600+ and waiting 4 months, then that turned up.

Even the acrylic windows look like they had been cut with a circular saw.

unlucky, that was a relly nice case:yumyum:, shame about the dodgy job on it but personally i think its not to bad, but thats coming from someone who has only ever owned dell cases:D

I don't think that's the point really. "Not too bad" isn't good enough

Shame about the case mate. If/when you get another project be sure to post it on OC3D :)

I shed a tear for you man.

2 things i suggest.

Dont let this stop you. We have all had some strange and unwanted hiccups with our comps and cases, but we have all perserveared (pardon mein spelling) and got some stunning results.

and keep going for it. Personally, id send as much of it back as i could , check your returns policy etc, see what can be done. Im sure the companies and people who helped originally will be to give you some assistance and maybe offer to put things right. You never know until you ask.

Browse around on here, loads of hints and tips on modding. Plus everyones friendly enough to offer advice. :D

Dont worry boys its going to pan out ok.

Ive got a new case coming but its coming to me this time :D

I wont be put off dont worry.

Just need to get the modding cap on now and make the new case a stonker really.

But now I have serious time restraints as Ive been waiting 4months for the 343 to get to me.

Just hope you will all like what comes through next......
