Good man!

errrr,no comment:lol:,it was just something I was sent,it was a ebay link I think

Posting selfies on OC3D, ehh? ;)

Nice build so far Dale! Bit of cable management here and there and you've got yourself an epic rig! Well... It's partly yours but you have some time to save up! :D

Cables tidied :D still wont stay on for longer than 5 seconds though :/

not quiet that daft

Btw why do you happen to have a picture like anyway

He probably just took it himself.. ;)

That was on some website a while ago, it was posted on eBay or Gumtree or something, this bloke selling the kettle, but he hadn't noticed what was actually on the picture lol

I have a video of the problem im having:

Could just be something silly like the on/off switch is loose in the front panel

Can you move the 24 pin cable to come through the top grommet? Will be a little bit neater.

Good shout, ill do it tomorrow though because im shattered :)

you tried booting it out of the case?? to me it looks like a power issue could be a loose connection i.e 12v/8pin or 24 pin loose you can disconnect the front panel connectors and use the onboard power on/reset buttons.

1st thing i would try is removing the board from the chassis and seeing if it will boot out of the case..

the psu is more than enough for the system i would test it on your old pc though to rule it out..

i seriously think its just a loose connection though...

did you try clearing the cmos??

anychance you can take a photo of the backplate from the cpu cooler?? ive seen these cause shorts simular to this but they normally come with a gromet type thing on them to stop that sort of thing..

I tried clearing the cmos and it didn't fix it, ill test it out in my old system and out of the case tomorrow, the back plate for yhe cpu cooler is plastic so i doubt it will be shorting it, ill take a picture in the morning anyway though. I think it could be the 8pin cpu power because it seems tight and can only just reach the socket, im planning on get braided black and green extensions soon anyway but if i need to ill just get a basic extension to make do just now. Thanks for your help mate, appreciated :D

wont be the backplate then my old thermalright true black edition had an anodised black alu backplate that had a rubber thing that sandwitched itself between that and the mobo. i saw one guy install his without it and it caused major damage to his mobo good job gigabyte were so forgiving and swapped it out for him...

it could just be the 12v shorting you can run it behind the mobo until you get the extensions let us know how it goes :D

What's the LED readout thing saying? Check the what the code/number/digits mean in the manual. The answer could be that simple.

the code is "error 15" means northbridge/power @ dale another thing you could try until you get your extensions is flipping the psu so its facedown it will give you about 2 more inch's to play with on your cables...

UkGouki beat me to it ;)

Thanks man, you have been really helpful! :D Ill add it to my list of to dos :D

also...

if you have the cpu fan connected to a molex (not using power from the mobo), you have to turn OFF the CPU_FAN_ERROR (shut down) in the BIOS

I know im definitely getting Patriot ram instead of corsair, 2x4gb 1866Mhz modules are £70 by corsair and 2x8gb 1866Mhz are £100 by patriot, no brainer really. I have flipped the psu and there is far more room for the 8 pin cpu power so ill give it a test and hope for the best.

Just tested everything and i have narrowed the problem down to being motherboard, cpu or cpu cooler. I have tested it out of case and with a different psu and with everything unplugged except psu. I am going to take the cpu cooler off and assess the situation underneath.

Right, it is either from my cpu cooler not being seated right, the north bridge heatsink being wobbly or something is wrong with the bios. Im going to order some decent thermal paste instead of the using the stuff that came with the cooler and hopefully this will sort it. If it doesn't something is wrong with the motherboard. When the paste comes ill give it a test, hope for the best, return to my nest and have a rest.

isnt there a bios switch on the motherboard?? try switching to the secondary bios never know it could just be that the bios on it is borked or trying to boot with an overclock :-/

only other thing i can think of tbh...
