Yeah it was a quick mockup lol, i will do some realflow simulations and some fancy techniques in cinema 4d to make a good looking version :p

the only thing i use C4D for, is the integrated BodyPaint. ;)

I use BP3D for starting out, with its very good UV-ing capabilities, then i export it all into Mari, for some serious nextgen texturing.

Realflow0213 is the bees knees though :D

Cinebench GPU score of 69 :lol: Old score was 7 so massive improvement, i am in cinema 4d and i have changed my settings and it looks like it is rendered in OpenGL because the GPU is so good, and i don't have to twiddle my thumbs for half an hour to do a benchmark, it literally takes a few seconds, this is amazing im loving it :D Im getting money for upgrades in a week so i need to decide whether im going for 16GB dual channel or quad channel and what speed, if i go dual channel 16GB i could upgrade to 32GB in the future and it would be total overkill but i would make use of it with C4D and i could set up a ram disc, also im thinking of going with a Pny 660 as it is pretty much the same card as the 550 just with an extra drop of performance. As for SSD i might go for a Kingston 120GB. Im also going to get 2x 140mm and 2x 120mm fractal design fans so it all matches and they are also better performing than the XSPC fans i have. Super happy and it is only just hitting me how awesome this is :D :D

Edit: I cranked all the settings to full and rendered my complex model of my CPU cooler with high res textures, would take about 5 days non-stop rendering on old PC, took 2 minutes on new PC. :D

glad you got it sorted could of sworn i suggested swapping to secondary bios probably should of explained it better but im happy for you now its all up and running :D
 
Found somebody selling 2x 560ti graphics cards for £140, a 660 is £160 and would be less powerful, i have the PSU power so i might just go for it, they are evga and have the ugly yellow carbon thing going on but some lime green wrap and that will be sorted. If i do get them they will be here in a week, as for Ram and Ssd i am still not totally decided but it looks like i will be going for 2x8GB of Patriot Viper at 1600Mhz for £80 and ssd may or may not be 120GB Kingston, on amazon it is only £65 so it is a steal. Brings total to £285 which leaves me £15 to go towards the extensions i want which are £25. I will also be getting 2x 120mm fractal fans and 2x 140mm fractal fans to fill the empty spaces and go on my CPU cooler. Brings me £40 over budget but that isn't too much so im quite happy there. I will be getting paid in 3 days so then it will just be another 3 days for stuff to arrive after i order it. Im probably going to postpone getting the SSD though because i want to save up more and maybe get a larger one. All in all im enjoying playing games that are not laggy and pixelated on my PC so happy days indeed. Expect an update in about a week, this is dalewakelin, out. ;)
 
I spent a good few hours modelling this and it has a good few hours more till its finished but i thought i would share my progress. I have no limits now apart from time so i have no excuse not to make it exact and perfect so that's what im going to do. Im aware that the PCI has a different locking mechanism its just because i had the blueprints to that kind of slot and i will re-do it once i find blueprints for the gigabyte slots. Anyway, im away for a much needed sleep in 40 minutes. Ill aim to finish this tomorrow, every capacitor, mosfet and pin. :D
