Powerline Problem??

Just brought a BT powerline kit, Plugged it all in as per the instructions, all looked ok with both plugs showing all the Led's on but when I boot up my pc no connection!
Do I need to re-configure my internet connection method? If I plug the dongle back in my Wi-Fi comes back on.

Apart from bad cables, the only problem you can have can be that the plugs you used are on a separate power line.

What insomnarium means by the plugs being on separate powerlines is that when a house is electrically wired, not all sockets are always on the same circuit. The two plugs you are using may well be completely electrically isolated from each other, so they won't work if that's the case.

To see if this is the problem, try setting up the powerline adapters very near to each other so that they are very likely to be on the same circuit, and then try to connect to the router. If you can it will be that the other plug is on a different powerline, if it doesn't work, then the adapters may be borken.
