Son of Saddam! I just had the largest power surge I've ever experienced! It all of a sudden sounded like Bigfoot had a massive case of diarrhea under my desk, which of course was my logitech subwoofer getting blown to kingdom come, and then my UPS started beeping like crazy. Thank you APC UPS!! You single-handedly saved my rig!!
What? I've never heard of something like this randomly occuring. I thought that would only happen when lightning strikes your house. Must be murrica's horrible infrastructure.
Yeah I'm not quite sure what the hell happened honestly . The only things in my room hooked up to my UPS are my PC and monitors. Come to think of it my speakers/sub are the only things plugged straight into the wall. Mainly because the damned plug for them is so awkward and takes up so much room. I've got loads of other random shite on just a power strip.
I think you're right Tom it's time for a UPS upgrade so I can just slam everything else on there and not have to worry. I've always gone APC and they haven't done me wrong yet, but I've been looking at CyberPower for aesthetics recently. Anyone have any experience or recommendations? My total load should be anywhere from 1000-1200W.
