Post A Picture of Your Last Purchase

Well it's been a long week of thinking and not knowing exactly what i want lol

Had a 10% ebay discount so it was either a 5700x for £225, 5800x for £242 or a 5900x for £306 with the choice to pick from, found it really tough to decide but only had the 10% until 6th of may and when the bios comes out for the x370 mobos these will all get wings and fly so had to decide.

I was split between the 5800x and 5900x as much as i could have gone 5900x the difference in gaming is very very small and so i've been sensible and not spent all my funds which is odd for me, but i feel i've made the right choice and the price is decent for this with the discount but i found it really hard to decide like really hard :D

New in box sealed and it better be :P Just have to wait for bios now :)

Some snacks suprisingly half decent prices for a change from lately but some stuff is OP they are really gouging it not sure if others have noticed this on amazon over the last month.

It'll not last never does unfortunately, as for the screen grab it looked worse before i edited it idk why it was so funky :(

Did order a custom poster to be printed 50cm-70cm just something i like fan art :)

I expect the next thing i'll post at a slightly later date is the Fractal Design Define 7 XL most likely after I move but saying that i might need to mod where it will sit as it's a little longer than my current case.

i needed more storage 15.25tb is not cutting it lol so picked up an extra 3tb and a bay adaptor out go's dvd drive to make room, in comes usb external dvd drive all three items are basic things and total cost was £38 :)

Devil makes work for idle thumbs :P

29th update

5800x is here and 100% legit scanned and checked codes all good now gimme that bios :D

I've used the G9 and the smearing that is quite synonymous with VA put me right off it, Plus once you experience 1600P vertical there's no going back to 1440P vertical, Feels way too squished.

The G7 and 9 series has apparently little to no smearing unlike other VA panels. You're the first person I've seen say it's still there. I don't own one it's just one of the big talking points people bring up about them. So that's interesting. If on one hand it's better than other VA I couldn't imagine how bad VA is otherwise.

There was zero smearing on my G7 when I had it. I still have regrets on selling it but I saw no reason to keep it after upgrading to what I have.

Friend of mine from work bought a PS5 at launch literally just to play Spiderman and then Spiderman Remastered, He played through it a few times and then offered to sell it to me at a hefty discount... so I bought it and Spiderman 3 Remastered, Both like new and in white so it goes with my setup ^_^

My HTPC, Not my main rig, Had a 5700XT and as I spend a decent amount of time infront of my TV playing games now I upgraded the 5700XT to a Sapphire 6950XT Toxic Limited Edition ^_^

5800X ordered. £290 brand new and free delivery.

My 1700X isn't getting retired just yet, it'll be going part time as it'll be getting installed in my partner's PC instead.

That's a fairly big performance jump, Should be quite noticeable.

The difference in some things is huge you will notice the difference in some games alot :D

The 5700XT in my HTPC was due for replacement, It's never been stable, I think RDNA1 was just a massive beta test really ^_^

rdna1 for sure was no DXR is why i didn't buy one :D

the 5800x thou really opened the taps on my 6800xt, so i know he'll get a nice boost :)

For my HTPC I honestly don't care about DXR as I'm sitting far enough away on a couch that any differences in reflections and shadows will be pretty much moot, I am looking forward to benching it though in standard raster vs my 3080 Ti ^_^

with all the stuff coming out about next gen power draw I'm considering just upgrading mine and my sons pc 1600x gtx 1060 to a 5800x or 5900x with a 3080 or 3080 ti and just skip next gen and hope they get the power draw under controll for next next gen

If the info is correct with the insane power draw increase with next gen then I'm not touching it, Electricity prices are already going up multiple times this year, At least in the UK, As the government has given them free reign on price increases.
