I sure hope you didn't buy this, watch this and you'll see why

I was really busy yesterday, so didn't get time to clarify.

Firstly it's not that one. That is the Raptor 2, and costs £1000. What I bought is the Raptor 1, and the RRP is £699. However.

It's refurb. And it was half price, and it's a totally different panel in there (144hz etc).

It reviewed very well (the V1).

I almost bought one last year when Currys had them on sale for £599. However, I decided to go with a 32" curved. It (the 32) was also cheaper.

However, whilst I love the Strix dearly I have another rig at my mother's. The small one I just upgraded. And the monitor there? 32" 60hz VA I have had for 6 years.

Given I run a 2080Ti on that too and play Esport (PUBG) I really, really need a higher refresh rate. At £350? I would imagine you could get a low end IPS screen with the same or similar spec, but everything on that desk is Razer so at the price I went with it. Praying it's not broken or anything, but DPD are delivering so it should arrive in the condition it was sent :D

Oh and I also want to see what all the fuss is about with IPS. I've stuck to VA since getting that HP, and want to see if it really is any better :)

Here, let me give you a good idea of why I bought it. Both rigs are almost the same in spec. One is 2080ti kingpin, 3950x PB and 32gb RAM on a 144 Strix. The second rig is a 2080Ti Aorus Xtreme clocked 200mhz slower, 3600 PB and 16gb RAM.

This is on my rig at home (with 144hz and lower response). Note mainly, damage. Meaning when shot at I have been able to respond and either shoot back, causing damage, or kill.

Those games were all played here, at home. The red cut off line shows the last time I played on the 60hz panel.

Bear in mind of course that damage doesn't = kills as I most usually play in a squad of 4. Meaning my mates are usually on the same target unless it's a 1v1.

And people say refresh rates and response times are garbage, huh.

Ah ok cool, just didn't want to see you spend big on garbage :)

hah, I never really spend big. I'm a tight bugger, and always want a good bargain :D

Grand on a monitor? pah, yeah, right lol.

Need a couple more small PC parts to complete the build. Am thinking about painting the case too.

Noice is it one you've already got a thread on?

Yeah dude, that rig. Well it came. Auction description had a pic of the stock pic, and said "Comes in a brown box no cables or accessories". It's new :O

Just connected it (using it now) 0 dead pixels.

Nice upgrade. Would you even call it upgrade? I mean that's like jumping eras in technology terms :p

Vastly outpaces my internet. I pay for 200/10 but on a good day I'll get 50/10 wired but 100/10 wireless. No idea why but oh well.

I recently got a new interweb upgrade and its blazingly fast.
I get these speed on wireless as well as wired.

This is mine on a good day, Usually I average around 10Mbps down and 0.4Mbps up, Annoying thing is my area isn't getting cabled for another 10 years according to the latest info :(

Mines the reverse, get half the speed wireless so all my machines are wired. Technology can be so weird!!!

I'd rather have that! My PC and consoles are the data hogs(downloading games and constant use) so they are all wired and ever since my ISP upgraded my internet (they merged and upgraded people for free) my speeds are just wack. I remember updating windows 21h2 which then further caused my speeds to basically hard lock to 30mpbs download max. No matter what. Only way around it was wireless and then my download jumped to 200+. Tried a rollback and nothing changed.

I hate windows for networking.

I envy your speeds that's the dream you got there :p

I don't envy that lol

Funny thing is I'm moving to the south most likely within the next year and I'll probably be in the same boat as you!

It is but if it's all you got then I guess it's oh well.

It's not available to the area I'm currently in so not even an option yet. I have till about mid next year according to the site.

Not a recent purchase I got these keycaps about 2 months ago but only now got around to putting them on, Razer Mercury White PBT keycaps -

went got me one of these little compressors best thing i have done, grabbed a couple of rubber wheels and an old bit of wood from the shed .. sat it on and its small and low enough to roll under my desk in the corner out the way

had enough of coughing up 10-11 euro a pop for a can of air to dust my of the pc and what not done hundreds over the years , plus the only cans that actually do have any power to do a decent job are these ones >>>> https://imgur.com/pd6GtyJ

any other can of air is worthless not enough power in them with this little compressor its perfect for this and many other things ...

120 euro it cos me... before someone jumps up and may say but SS there's hand held electric air dusters like this.... https://imgur.com/HxhhD0H

for 132 euro and 14 odd to deliver its not worth it at all... even the 50-60 euro ones they wanted 30 euro delivery...
