Let me start off saying I'm not an expert when it comes to overclocking, it's kinda new to me. I have my system stable at 4.1ghz but after I set everything in the bios there is no option to run my memory at 1600mhz. I'm currently running it at 1390mhz because the other option was something like 1790mhz and it was not stable at all. I'm just wondering if there is a way to set it at 1600 or if I need it to be at 1790 and just loosen the timings. It's a Asus Crosshair Iv formula with a 1090t and Mushkin Blackline 1600 7-9-7-24. Thanks

good to hear you worked it out, you could have ran your ram at the 1790 if you had loosened the timings a bit more than likely as the black line is a great kit, something like 9-9-9-28 would have been more than ample at a slight guess. but as i said above glad you got it worked out.

Thats actually completely wrong. Like way off.

His issue was he had the BCLK low and the multi high. All he needed to do was lower the multi to 20, up the bclk to 200 and he would have had the option of 1600mhz and 2000mhz ram

Simples when you actually know your way around the bios
