Picked up a few new games... First thoughts inside!

Before I left work today I had this crazy urge to stop by EB Games and buy a few new compy games.

I picked up; Rise & Fall, NFSMW, and SWAT 4 Gold Edition.

Rise & Fall - AWESOME GAME! This is definately one you MUST go out and buy if you like RTS's. The graphics are great, the gameplay is phenominal and countless hours of fun can be had with this game. It's like Civilization but IMO it's better :)

NFSMW - Most have played this game, very fun... Haven't toyed around with it too much yet. If you don't have it, go get it.

SWAT 4 - Another awesome game. A great past time when not in the mood for CS:S. The gfx are good, the controls are good, and the AI is good. It also adds a nice element of strategy instead of just run in and shoot anything that moves carelessly. Been having a lot of fun with this one so far, no chance to play online yet though, maybe tomorrow.

All in all, the favorite out of these 3 is definately Rise & Fall. If you liked Civ, C&C, StarCraft, WarCraft, etc then you NEED this game. I think I'll be enlisting myself in some 3-4 hour online battles in the near future, the game is addicting like crack.

Just wanted to post my comments on the games I picked up today, cheers!

I have been playing NFS:MW alot lately. I am currently running with the original Cobalt on Blacklist member #2 just trying to see if I can make it the entire game without changing cars. It is tough but fun.

Yeah I took the Cobalt up to #5, and then bought myself a DB9 and chromed the whole car out - rofl.

Yeah NFSMW is a pretty fun game, played it for a while. It's a good game to play when you don't feel like getting really involved in a game, a good way to pass by the time.

I'm tellin ya though, Rise & Fall is where its at. Everyone needs to check it out :)

I love pick-up and play games cause my attention span is mass short ;)

I also have the logitech momo racing wheel. I love using it to play the nfs games. I haven't picked up MW yet but I still play underground 2. Great when I'm bored

They work GREAT. The force feedback & shifter on that thing are nuts. It's so fun with it. Pressure sensitive pedals, etc etc. Very realistic. It's even got a motor type thing in it, so, if you get mad air, your steering wheel is very easy to turn. The minute you hit the ground it jerks you to whatever side the wheels go. If you hit a curb, it rips ur arm off just like it would if you went over a curb @ 100 MPH in any car lol. It's nuts man. Best racing wheel evar.

That sounds freaking BADASSSSSS! This is the Logi we're talkin about right? I may have to get it now that you talk about it, because it sounds freakin nuts!

i remember having the "designed for GT3" steering wheel for the PS2 playing GT3 force feedback.. just makes the games.. amazing...

wish i could get my 360 pad to work in windows :( won't friggin install properly

Ye the momo racing wheel is definitely worth it IMO. I love the force feedback, it makes the game a lot more fun to play. I like the fact that there is paddle shifters and a stick shift depending on what you prefer. Another useful thing are the six buttons on the wheel that you can use for your NOS, camera shift, look back, or w/e else. My preferred setup is to have the stick shift as the emergeency brake, the paddle shifters to shift and the NOS button under my right thumb lol soo fun

I'll have to evaluate my funds and see if this is something I really need because it sounds wicked sick!
