People who pretend they know loads about computers :@

Ah i will admit some of the tech guys should be cleaners in the store some probs are, but some will be enthusiasts and they are the ones you can sit and chat with and they know what they mean.

I guess its the same with Maplin and the Apple store well anywhere lol.

But that was bad about the PCI-E lane though oh god thats bad considering he probs has advised other people...

And i guess that guy at the apple store is used to dealing with those who have money and if its a little better will just throw money at it ... not used to dealing with someone who knows what they should get.

Oh trust me they're the type of person who could afford it. They just didn't need to spend that much, hence why I tagged along :').

Has anyone here had to educate anyone in a place they don't work or even the staff??

Worst tech shop ever, I don't even know where to start.

My partners dad telling me that the problem with their PC is that the motherboard does not have enough gigahertz. I have explained a few times that the processor is where that problem would be but no luck. He persists that is the problem area.

I have a "friend" like this here. He... he doesn't know shit about the technologies around and he's going to build a system with a 4790k and a 780ti just to play call of duty on 1080p... And I have him talk all the time about stuff that isn't exactly that way.... I was arguing with him the other day that it is actually possible and preferable to put more than one rad in a custon waterloop (and he pretends to watch all those OC3D and LTT videos)... He also thinks that overclocking a chip won't have any effect in the lifespan and it just raises the temperatures.... that guy.... He'll be punched one day.
THAT FUCKER BLAMED HIS LAPTOP MAKER FOR GIVING HIM A LAPTOP WITH A DEAD GPU BECAUSE HE COULDN'T RUN GAMES WHILE IN FACT HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR NOT UPDATING THE FREAKING DRIVERS

Most professionals charge around 60€. ^o^ moneys!
I'm being known as the tech support at school. Teachers, classmates bring their laptops to me and I "fix" them for free. I charge 0€ because they are all mostly minor silly issues. I do say however that thing is the best PR ever. Teachers trust me a lot and I tend to enjoy a bit more freedom :D

how much should some one charge if thay have a+ and a++ certificits from trade school?

One of my friends is trying to get a custom PC ordered and built from some website, but he's getting a load of hassle from an employee over there. The guy tried to swap a Samsung 840 evo for some Kingston drive. Why? Who knows, but thats just where it starts. He then proceeded to change a Corsair RM series PSU, for some Chieftec one... I've know clue what he's up to. But thats not all. My friend having chosen an ASUS Z97-A and a 780ti was very happy, but that moron employee decided to change those for an ASUS Z87 Formula and a 780... What the actual f*ck? Oh might I add that thay employee also swapped 2400 MHz memory for 1333 MHz memory... Sometimes people really dissappoint me. I've told my friend to refuse to put up with this BS, or change to another retailer...

Those are all much cheaper bits. Obviously he can't afford the full thing :P.

wut. THose are all lower priced stuff. They still charging the same price?

The guy is just trying to change the whole order for some reason. His job is pretty much to just check for compatability or whatever, but hes just gone mad I think. What kind of service is this?? And as for the price, it'll be whatever the products cost, so I guess it'll be cheaper. But my friend has like an infinite budget :P

Are you sure he's not getting the build completely mixed up with another custommer's? Changing key components like that makes no sense, especially when they pay for the components cause I imagine they make more profit off the expensive stuff.
