People who pretend they know loads about computers :@

Are you sure he's not getting the build completely mixed up with another custommer's? Changing key components like that makes no sense, especially when they pay for the components cause I imagine they make more profit off the expensive stuff.

Im pretty sure, because he tried to sell the Kingston SSD first, but we said "no, we want the Samsung one". Then, he came back with a full spec list. However this time it had the right SSD, but so much of the other stuff was changed.

sounds like he entered the wrong details when creating the spec sheet. Like he chose the wrong template or something.

Nope, my friend sent me a screenshot of his entire shopping basket which I checked a bunch of times. Ill just see how this goes from here.

This is why i love my previous sir's example:
The guy watch a tiler tile and tomorrow he be like "I CAN TILE A HALL ALONE!!"

If you don't know much:
1. Research
2. Make statement
3. Give reference

At least so you learn everyday or rather KEEP YOUR MOUTH! (It is that easy)

Well frankly, I don't subscribe to an elitist way of thinking. Just because I feel I know better I shouldn't become frustrated at another persons erroneous opinion. If I do; then I am only frustrating myself. After all it is a personal decision to become offended, and the next persons decision to be wrong. . .

Not really elitist but when some people know that you know more stuff than them. And they acknowledge that, they shouldn't try talking gibberish over things that they haven't studied enough on.

So ultimately you'd like to censor the people around you from spouting gibberish?

To think you're better than anybody else for whatever reason is elitist. Especially if you believe you have some divine knowledge that they lack.

That's like saying 'you're an idiot for not knowing something today that I learned about yesterday.'

There will always be people less perceptive than you, but then again there will always be people more perceptive.

I don't hate on people that seem less knowledgeable, I try and encourage the correct knowledge. its not about 'you're wrong ha ha victory to me, I'm better than you.'

It should be about positivity and engaging in the development of the other person knowledge.

Like i said its up to you to get pissed of at something someone else says or does or tells you to do, its a waste of time and its only pissin' you off.

You don't have to listen or agree, but you don't have to be a dick about it either, to them or yourself...

What ever other people do is up to them, and how you feel about it is up to you.

You shouldn't let a fool spoil your day, there's too many of them out there! X

I don't mean that. I don't want them talking like they know everything and saying things that are the complete oposite and making things out of their heads. I have some great talks with my best friend (also a computer geek) we never said we know everything and we have great geeky talks one teaching new things to each other, but some people.... Just...

What about people who refuse to listen and make a mistake, only then to blame you for them not listening?

Horse.High.Off.

Easy now chaps, Just trying to bring another perspective. I'm not on a high horse, of course stuff pisses me off. I'm no zen master.

All I'm just saying is, You cant be mad at someone because they're an asshole, because if they knew they where an asshole, they wouldn't be one. Right?

Oh god, my friend just told me his cousin knows loads about PC's and proceeded to tell me what is in his rig. I see that he has a 4770 and a 770 with 16GB of kingston ram (no idea what kind or speeds etc...) and he told my friend that the Ram is the most important thing in the rig :(:( oh the ignorance, I bet he has an OCZ 500w ModxStream or whatever its called thinking that its the shit...

^^That's nothing, My mate went for a job interview which would involve him setting up portable networks for teaching in mobile classrooms - only trouble is he knew nothing about PCs and when they asked him if he had one he said yes, I have a laptop. Oh good and what memory does it have - he replied " a better one than mine" pmsl.

He got the job based on other qualifications he had and they trained him how to connect the networks up. He has ben working there for 3 years and loves the job.
