I recently purchased the cm storm trooper & yes it has some great features & lowered my motherboard temps by 3deg.

However it's so big & heavy that I got a mid tower coolermaster case from a friend that says elite on the front with no model number.

my temps stayed the same as with the storm trooper & is way quieter. My question is = if you don't plan to do watercooling is the extra expense

justified for the sake of saying U have a full tower case? I'd also like to thank U for all your efforts to educate the general population on the inns & outs of

the computer world. I hear your name mentioned quite often in comp stores & lan parties which indicates your making a positive impact on the present & future generation

of mouse movers. If U can find the means it would B nice to see U use some more AMD processors & boards for the folks who go for what the need VS what their told they need.

Keep up the good work bro.

Cases are a personal choice, kind of like the clothes you wear, the added expense is worth it if you think the case looks good and it's what you want. You get more with more expensive cases though, like cable management, sound proofing/dampening and better air flow etc. You don't actually need any of those things but it's nice to have them.

Also, the Cooler Master Elite was my first case, it's pretty good for what it is actually but it has no cable management or anything like that.

Its just like fashion and all "designer labels" at the end of the day. Theres no real reason to say that a £30 cheapo case (xclio for example) would perform any differently to a £100 cm storm trooper. But people shell out for the big names as they're the "fashion".

Maybe an imperfect analogy but you get the gist

Well there is more to a full tower case then just bragging about it, one of the advantages is that they will often have better airflow, but they can be necicary if you are going to be using a giant cpu heatsink or run multi gpu setups, a full tower case can also be nice if you might upgrade to a bigger motherboard or heatsink ect. but if you dont need the extra space then your right the extra expence isn't worth it, at the end if the day the important thing is finding a case that fits your needs and that you think looks nice.
