PCI Wireless Card Problems

OK, I have a PCI wireless adaptor, this is it:

When I first turn on my computer, and when my computer resumes from sleep there is a problem when I first log onto the internet. My entire screen freezes up and the sound freezes as the wireless card warms up. The problem is fixed by disconnecting from my wireless network and joining again.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem may be?

Computer management > Device manager > right click adapter > propeties > power management > untick Allow computer to switch off device to save power.
