PCI-E SLI Whats better

Ok I can only afford one new gcard which one should I get a 6800 ultra sli for future updates or just an x850 need some advice guys going to get a nforce4 mobo of some sort to either the dfi or msi

Depends on how long it will be till you can afford a 2nd ultra and the type of cooling you intend to use.If it might be a while before you have more funds,i'd get the x850 now,then when i had enough for a 2nd gfx setup,i'd sell the x850,hopefully for a good price and then get 2 nvidia's.

So you think the single x850 should whoop the 6800 ultra?? and as for cooling not too sure maybe my watercooler setup as it will do 5 degrees all day long on a gcard

Id get the 850 if I were you, SLi seems like a complete waste of cash to me a the mo. I mean paying for two cards to get 75% extra graphic performance (in like 3 games) does not make sense to me.

plus, its Ati. No brainer really.

Yeah well I did love my x800pro vivo till I broke it may still see if they will rma me a new one if not I will upgrade to the x850 i think

I take it ure wanting the 850 that that guy is selling in classifieds Fatty?

I was contemplating getting that as well, but I think my CPU would bottleneck it (P4 3.0C at 250FSB). So Im getting a pressy soon, aimin for 4Ghz+ instead.

Does anyone know when Ati's AMR comes out?
