Hi guys I want to upgrade my pc but I am not sure what I should upgrade first ?
I know I need to upgrade my graphics card but apart from that what else ?
I am a pc gamer and I multi task a lot.
I am open to any suggestions thanks.

My pc specifications:
GPU: GTX 560ti
CPU: i7 2700k (stock cooler)
RAM: Corsair 8gb ddr3 1333mhz xms3
PSU: Corsair tx750m
HDD/OS: Ocz agility 3 60gb
HDD1: Western digital blue 500gb
HDD3: Segate baracuda 1tb
MOBO: Msi z77a-g45
CASE: Nzxt phantom 410

Edit; So you have money for a new GPU *and* 200 quid for other upgrades?

As Cru3l said a budget would be nice to know. But upgrades I'd suggest from looking at that list would be:

- GPU upgrade, as mentioned by yourself
- CPU Cooler upgrade to overclock. The CPU itself will be more than enough.
- Maybe some faster RAM? 1866MHz or something.
- A bigger SSD. Anything that is not OCZ please. :p

Thanks for the suggestions.
Yes what I ment to say is that I have £200 that i can spend right now and i am waiting to get paid for work so that i can upgrade my gpu.

In that case I would probably try this:

> Buy H100i
> Buy 8GB 1866MHz RAM
> Sell old RAM
> See if you can squeeze in a 120GB SSD. Most things Samsung/Crucial/Intel/Corsair/Kingston will be fine.

Then overclock your CPU and you'll have some faster RAM and more SSD storage space for some programmes or games. Should give you a nice boost. :)

pretty much this. although 1600 ram should be fine as well. might be able to squeeze a bit more out of that CPU with a lower ram frequency

Personally i'd go for a 240GB SSD, then the best graphics card you can afford and in the process sell the old parts for a new memory kit and cpu cooler. That is unless the other parts restrict your GPU budget.

JR

Edit: ^ the other guys were on my wavelength, i'd still try and squeeze a bigger SSD out of the budget as that will bring the most real world appreciable performance unless you can manage your games/programs excessively well!

and anyway you say its for gaming. 1333 mhz ram to 2000+ is the same for gaming.keep the ram.

you just need a better gpu. i would wait for hd 9xxx series from amd. soon...

Erhm... no. The budget is there, he has no reason not to get some quicker RAM. Honestly, 1333 is a bit on the low side. 1600 is considered the sweet spot (price/performance) for gaming and after 1866 there isn't much performance boost for gaming.

That said, the RAM that you linked is quick being 2400MHz, but S3ns3 also had a point. You don't really need that. Especially when you consider that most 2400MHz kits have a CAS Latency of 11 but you want to try and keep that as low as possible. Preferably 9, maybe 10.

It also uses 1.65 Volts which is a bit much. Try to find a kit that only needs 1.5.

Basically the perfect specs for you would be: 1866MHz - CL9 - 1.5 Volt.

Like Feronix said.

AIO Liquid Cooler
RAM + SSD
Then Clock your CPU It'll make a vast difference to system performance I'd just OS your SSD and be sure you read every thing you can on installing a Solid state properly i.e TRIM, Defrag, Prefetch, Restore points, Temp directories.

I might buy the h100i but I need to have a look at some other coolers.
Have you got any other coolers in mind that I can use for overclocking.

Only alternative is the Noctua NH-D14 if you want to go aircooling, but the H100i will perform a tad better, look a lot better, and you won't need low-profile RAM.

I don't think that Corsair Vengeance kit fits under the NH-D14.
