Psu. Corsair hx1050

And the rest is the 3930k rig in my sig
that tells us alot mate why not post the specs and help us help you.
his saying there is:
4 sticks of ram at 2000MHz - i think.
an overclocked 3930k
2 amd 7900 graphic cards (unsure which though)

I would say to take the CPU back to original clock.
also make sure everything is plugged in properly, can cause problems if there not.
If the problem continues, maybe remove all but the requirements, CPU, motherboard power, a single hdd, just to see if it helps.

Were you doing anything out of the ordinary to make this happen?

if the problem persists maybe reset bios for a start. But it's sounding like an odd problem.

I wouldnt think it was power. That system should be alright on an 850w psu, and if not it wouldnt need that much more than 850, so 1050 is fine.

Are you 100% sure it's a power issue? I had similar problems while stressing the overclock, which I figured just meant it wasnt stable. A mate of mine also had exactly the same problem, thinking it was a psu issue but these forums advised a graphics card fault, so that was returned and the problem never occurred again. Try stress testing parts individually. Run Prime95 for like 15 hours, maybe even more. If it does the same thing again then it will be overclock issue as that wont be stressing the cards.

Specs
I7-3930k @4.6Ghz
2x HD7970 @ 1125/1575Mhz
4x4Gb Corsair Vengency 2133Mhz
Corsair SSD
Normal HDD
HX1050
All watercooled
Asus Rampage Formula

I have stressed the cpu for about 4 hours and the gpus were stress as well i has only happened when playing that game which is strange and its not even taxing on anything in the system.

also try stress testing like james did,
the only reason i say validate your steam game is because it did the same thing to me on a very specific part of max payne 3

ive got this issue back again now it just randomly turned the pc off like i pulled the plug and then restarted its self after about 5 seconds WTF?

Now that sounds more like a power issue...
Of you've cabled things up wrongly.
If you short out a molex it does the exact same thing

Any chance something could be water damaged?
From watercooling, any chance anything could have at any point leaked? Could be shorting something out in the psu, motherboard, graphics card - anything really?

it was leaked checked and i havnt seen any leaks just checked no wet spots or stains and water level has been constant over the last month. so i think we could rule that out, could it be the MB faulty which could explain other problems ive had like being stuck at post screen.

Just happened again when going to open guild wars 2, its happened 3 times today after going ages without this problem why suddenly start again?
