Parvum Systems Project Magnus

love the layered look of the panels <3
will you install led's to illuminate the sides of the frosted panels?

Completely agree with this, the layered panels look fantastic. I also am actually quite a fan of thee rad mount which will result in the rad being part sunk into the floor of the case. Could look pretty interesting.

Edit: And i only just noticed you seem to be adopting the trend of the concealed PSU, v nice!

Wow, wow. CNC made case! i dream of eventually having a CNC machine of my own some day. possibilities are endless here!

im loving the rad mounting in the top and bottom of the case very nice idea
I don't think there is anything id change on that case ive seen looks very nice and tidy

really really liking this so far :)

One small thing, i've had the issue with fans against that type of 'grill' pattern, doesn't that generate a whole heap of noise?

Indeed! We plan to insert a LED strip into a slit in the lower feet section of the case. Concealed of course. This should send a gradient of white light up into the frosted. Possibly also some under lighting around the feet but we will see. It may be a bit too 'need for speed'.

looking good there mate :)

Thank you! Thank you very much!

This is very true, it really was a dream when I was modding with my dremel! I suppose it's been a long old learning trip but it's great to be as knowledgeable at machining as we are at building rigs. Home built or import CNCs are cheap as chips and theoretically do the same thing. With a lot of learning and maybe only getting to cut one panel at a time you can produce something as awesome. Just not reproduce it afterwards :D

I'm stoked to give it a go. The two bottoms rads will have a small amount visible from the sides of the case. To hear that you wouldn't change anything is quite the compliment so thank you! Hopefully we won't disappoint as we start to add hardware.

Thanks SuB! hmmm no problems at our end, using a rig with same slats at the moment. S2.0 will be heading to Tom for him to do his thing. So I'm sure he will give a in depth write up on noise and temps etc!

What a beauty!!

Thanks Innocent.

Excellent point! I have had issue with CM cases with the acrylic side panel in the past with that style of vent over the fan they make a whining/whistle/droning noise.. adding fan filters made it worse too.

Interesting to hear. Hopefully our spacing makes it acceptable. We use the same slat style on our S1.0 case and have had no complaints as of yet.

Hi all, quick little mini update for you all. Had to cut some frosted at work so did the bits for the detailing and shot a quick little video at the same time.

But first we have a speedy unboxing of the FlexCage MB973SP-B. I wanted to have a nice quickly removable solution for large mechanical drives. This was the answer. It also gave us a couple of extra USB3.0 ports at the back if needed. Simply useful to chop and change drives in the work place.

Love the item. Few subtle plans. The base colour of the unit is fine no problems there. Will change the sticker to a piece of vinyl, change the fan and braid the cables at the back there. Test fit however went great. Nice as we only pulled the measurements from the technical data found on the website:

Next onto a little treat in the post from Asus: The MAXIMUS VI EXTREME!
Took a couple of nice photos of the board pre waterblocks and a what to find in the box!
Considering doing something with the OC Panel in this build:

Next we fit the male parts to the already cut female. Perfect fit fortunately :)

To finish for the day we rendered a quick little video. Sorry it was slapdash just to show you the tool changer and a little bit of the inlay so enjoy:

See you all soon! Have a great week!

:o Still amazed! This is still possibly the prettiest build I've ever seen great work guys.

I cannot accept that compliment! You must have seen better! haha, but thank you very much! If we can pull off what is in our minds this should be really something!
