I would like someone who has played around with this cpu already, to give me tips about were to start from.
I will be air cooling, and i dont wanna go higher than 4.5ghz, as this cpus get hot.
I'm pretty new to overclocking on CPUs, just done it on GPUs a couple of times.
Thanks,
Sonrise

Auto voltage is a n000b way of doing things. This forum is FULL of overclocking threads dude just go look for them.........

so you left voltage on Auto?

Yes it's on auto atm and it's giving 1.20v @4.2ghz, temp were around 65'C with prime small FFTs. But like Tom said, its always better to set them manually. I just haven't had time fine tune anything

EDIT: I did some tweaking and got mine running at 4.2ghz with 1.160v, temps dropped about ~5'c compared to the auto voltages

EDIT: This is what i ended up with
-Vcore LLC: Turbo
-Cpu vcore: 1.165v (1.160 gave WHEA errors in event log, althought prime ran without errors)
-Cpu PLL: 1.600v
-Disabled turbo-boost and set base multiplier at 42x
-Set XMP profile for Ram
-Rest is on auto
