Overclock3D.Net - Req's For Being On The Team

Ok Guys and Gals, As you know i've been looking for some people to help with the dedicated review site (OC3D) which is due to be released soon. However, there are some minimum requirements to being part of the team, so here it goes:

* A bit of html experience. I will send you a template that you can open in any html editing application (Dreamweaver preferred - as it doesnt mess with the code). You will write your review within the template (fairly simple), and send me the review once complete. In future, you won't need to do this as i'm in the process of designing an admin panel for all reviewers to use.

* Good writing skills. Your first review will be of a product you own. This review must prove to be of high quality in order to be part of the team.

* Your own pics & pic editing. You must have your own digital camera, capable of taking good quality pictures (no phone cameras). You must also know how to reduce the size of the pictures and perform simple tasks like adding borders around the pictures.

* Getting items to review. It will be your own responsibility to find products to review. You will need to approach companies off your own back (i will help whenever possible), and obtain whatever goodies you can (even if it be cables or lights). Remember to start small until we get better known.

If the supplier requirement is to return the item once the review is completed, then this will be your responsibility.

If this has put you off, but you still want to help, then we still need people to collate tech news from other sites and post short descriptions of the news on OC3D (plus a link to the originating site). We also need people to write guides/hacks.

Would everybody interested please drop me a PM, and let me know which team you'd like to be part of: Reviews, News, Guides (or all of them).

Cheers

Jim

Well my english and grammar is not good for reviews etc but html , pictures , guides , video tutorials or posting news from other sites , no problem.

As i said to you XMS,

I would like to have ago at writting. I think I fit the "Req's" pretty well. I see html every day (and its usually my code that Dav0s destroyed hehe just kidding mate) and I have a Digi cam and resizing pic is no problem. I am taking a year out from going to uni next year. Which actually starts around June time to go work in industry for a company that sell PC parts and builds computers, So should atleast get some contacts or get some tasty products to review. Thats aslong as I dont change my mind and go into Web design.

I am pretty much willing to do the odd review now and then as I am not sure how good i would be. But seeing as I will be around alot more from June I may find I need something to do, so bare me in mind.

Cheers.

Yep count me in. Pretty sure fit all above requirements.

we might be good getting a couple existing reviews that we have on the site first to give the companies a taster though :)

I dropped you a PM. I meet all the requirement the only thing that would get me in a pickle could possibly be getting parts to review. After I reveiw what I already have that is.

hmmmmm, i may be able to swindle a few things for reviews from our suppliers.

I'm sure that would be highly appreciated, if I do get accepted as a reviewer I know I would love you for it. haha. As long as you wouldn't get in trouble (or to much) for it lol.

I've sorted out a template for us all to use, but what i'll do is get a couple of reviews up there first to give you a taster of how i'd like them layed out ideally.

Yeah and if you do one its good to note BEFORE you write it, resize and link pics and faff about that you will want a BORDER or else you'll be crying*

*Possibly based on real experience
