Out of the blue windows rant

Why is it that you plug a USB device into a different port, half the time windo$e wants you to reinstall drivers ?

I`ve done the drivers once ! What you want them again for ?

Bet Apples don`t do it !

Freakin windo$e.

Ya, I have a fairly similar thing happen with my computer. For some reason it seems that drivers for the devices are paired only with the USB slots that the devices were in when I installed the drivers. Seemed kinda strange to me.

it doesnt ask me to install new drivers. but if i plug my usb printer into a different port, it says found new hardware and installs another copy of the printer. can be a pain in the arse, but you learn to live with these things.

Haha, Windows, it is good for one thing in my opinion, games, and that is only because they won't release them for anything else.

I aint had a crash in XP for about a year and a half: unless I was clocking the cr@p outta my PC. People who don't have a stock stable windows install need to be shot or take a long hard look at their hardware :)

The problem with Windows is that the memory spaces aren't seperated and a program can cause the kernel to crash.

True, I am sorry, but I meant that I can do things like compile software for my exact CPU and configure the kernel to suit my exact hardware.

you could just plug it in all ports one after another the first time u get the thing, then it won't ask you again....
