right as you guys know just built my rig because ive been asking u all questions..

well since i got it up and running ive been happy because of the discovery of me maybe having a cut down fx-55 but i did order a winchester core off the person i bought it from ive just recentlly emailled him and he is saying that he cant recollect a email being exchanged stating that i would be receiving the 3500+winnie so now im stuck with a cpu i didnt want

but at the same time im happy wif the one i got its still not the princible of it all thou as i did order a differant core

what do you guys think i should do?

Well it works, OC's good, plays all ya games well and generally performs well with no hiccups? Well then sod it! You did buy it off ebay!!! ;)
 
its not only that...it runs HOT im talking 45*c idle now@ 2..64 ghz and 56*c load

i cant get the fucker to boot at 2.7ghz even with the rams artificial clock set to ddr200 not ddr400 even with 1.650 vcore am i doing something wrong or is it my mobo?

Have you got it on water yet then? Cause you keep OC'ing it without excellent cooling and iy will get hot!! :eek:

Also you gotta remember that all procs are different....no one is exactly the same. Some wil OC better than other depending where on which part of the silcone the wafer omes from and all sorts of factors.

Plus if its a Clawhammer Core, it will run a bit hotter anyhow.

Plus although 54*c is hot, its not too hot, although you shouldn't run it that hot really.

Install that water cooling! :)

Maybe not extreme enough cooling for a proc like that at that OC's?

Also the board may hold ya back a bit. I've never seen a legendary OC on an Asus board but I spect to be proven wrong! :)
 
also do they do a 3500+ winnie? if so i need links to it in the uk as the blokes trying to tell me that 'core' isnt out here yet bollocks is what i say

and his supplier dosnt sell them yet and he has 25 suppliers
