Old School Modding.

After reading some of the last few threads about modding pcs, would it be possible to have a section for home grown modding, diy mods and builds.

Was thinking about this, like the guy who made a SNES PC a while back, it was sick and while it's good to see these £300+ re-sprayed/powdercoated/lasercut wonders, what happened to DIY for under a tenner? People making do with a jigsaw and a spraycan? I've got a few ideas for custom cases as in actual things that were never designed to house computers, but with a bit of elbow grease and imagination can be made into something awesome!

Trying to shoehorn a mATX board into an old XBOX case.

That's the spirit! I got a top secret project involving a PIII mobo, gonna start in in june once Uni is over for the year, trying not to spend more than £25 and end result should be sweet!!!

I still have 2Cool to work on,when I get the time.Loads to be modded on the setup,a few months worth I think.

ok it will be good, im also planning to get a dremel (my modding gear is a hot knife / a saw and a drill ) hope to see the pics of the incomming mods out there :D

I always think "but I could do that myself with a dremel and some C4". So when I finally get around to building a decent rig, or just messing with an old crappy one, I'll be doing it sans laser cutters.

I think C4 may be overkill?

It would make an interesting window.

As for paint fumes, I've got a half mask and a box of FFP3 filters. Some more overkill really. I also paint outside, so I think I'd be ok.
