old PSU safe to run Haswell rig

Hey guys
I gonna upgrade my rig at some point from core i7 920 (1366) and im gonna go for 4770K
Obviously that means new Mobo, RAM a new cooler (tempted by the H105) and obvs a new CPU. It's still gonna sit in the same case with the same GPUs (which is currently gtx 570 and a gtx 275) same soundcard, hard drives etc. so im basically just changing the "engine room" of my PC

do i need to change my PSU? I have seen it mentioned that I'll need a "Haswell Cert PSU" so it can safely supply the stupidly little wattage requirements when its sitting at Idle as older psu might not be able to do

The psu i have is a Corsair HX750w. Now we all know Corsair make rock solid PSUs but this is 4/5yrs old so it is an "old" psu and back then it was about how much it could deliver rather than how little.
Will i be ok or should i look at a new PSU and if so, any recommendations?
Cheerz in advance for any advice

personally if your going all out on a new rig, id buy a new PSU, but if your strapped for cash, then it should be ok for now :D and id just go for a new of what you have as you said corsair are good and reliable. :D

iirc corsair units come with 5/7 year warranty, I'd use it tbh. I was expecting you to have some piece of £30 junk.

thanx guys, I thought i would be ok with the HX750, i just wanted to double check as a lot has changed since i built my rig as it was more about "powarhhh" and stability, but now its seems to be more about the efficiency and quietness and when the fan will spool up etc and the "delicacies" of powering a rig

i am on a budget, so if that is a suitable PSU, then that's 100quid saved
Even i know not to chuck a crappy psu in any rig lol. As we all know, a PSU is the only thing that can fry every single component on a rig in one swoop
Cheerz again
