Odd but True

those case boxes have hand holds in them so it could of crawled in at any point of its journey from CM to final destination YOU

Didn't he say that it was in the case though? Cases are designed to be dust proof, so there shouldn't be any hole big enough for that spider to crawl through.

At least it was dead...

...right? 'Cause otherwise I might have to move to... you know, the moon or something

Hole for the PSU though, as there wouldn't be one installed in a new case.
But - they do normally come in protective plastic or foam, so it's unlikely it would have got in during transit.

Coolermaster should hopefully compensate you for this though!

Probably got in somewhere between putting the case together and putting it in the bag.

Also, keep an eye on your bananas...

^^^that one it's a very dangerous spider! It's A Brazilian wandering spider! The most venomous spider in the world!

How could anyone miss that in packaging? Would freak me the hell out if I found one of them just lying about.

I know I must say I'm still very unsettled. Ive sent an Email to Cooler Master today and had an automated Email stating they are closed for the holidays but are back open tomorrow so we will see if I get a response.

Yeah it was actually inside the case beneath all the packaging.

exactly even if it is wrapped in plastic it can still find a way inside.

But I'm more curious as to what kind of compensation you think CM is liable for. I mean its not like they put it in on purpose. Its not like the Op got bit by it sustaining serious life threatening injury. That spider could of gotten in at any point along the way. Hell it could of come from the couriers transport. I think all you should expect from CM is an apology it happened and assurance they'll check their warehouse/manu site for infestations.

Well we will see what they come back with I'm not saying somebody has put it in on purpose but something definately needs to be done about it.

Awesome. The spider looks like the ones that hangs around the dunny here at home - a huntsman. Harmless and really good at keeping other pests at bay - mice etc.
I hope you haven't got any eggs in the case. A quarantine issue for sure on the distributors behalf.

Can't see any eggs in there I've cleaned it out and wiped it over with disinfectant but I will keep checking.

Ewwwww I hate spiders, I dunno if I should buy a Cooler Master case now haha. I probably will :P

I do recall there being something in my Switch 810 when it came, but not a FREAKING HUGE SPIDER! I am uncomfortable now. Extremely... And the rear side panel to my case is open right now...

Lol, the thought of something like that didn't even enter my mind but I suppose it can happen with anything really.

Latest update on this situation I have decided to send the case back. Unfortunately I haven't got the same look on it anymore and my wife is freaked out by it being in the house. The case itself is a good case so if anyone is looking to buy one then you will be getting a solid case (hopefully no spiders included).

Coolermaster are aware of the situation and have requested the serial number of the case and my invoice details so I have provided this for them.

Better start looking for another case I suppose........

wait, so you bought a case, and they sent you a FREE bonus exotic spider.. and this makes you sad? if i were you id complain to CM that you didnt get a live one, tell them you wanted it as a pet
