OC3D² CT Positions

Got plenty of time to kill today in work so I decided to sort some CT positions for B team members so we can have a regular position. Don't worry I'm not intending to turn it into a strict regime but just a bit of organisation ready for league play

So here are possible positions I was thinkin of fitting each player. The first position is where I would like you to play (and think you would be strongest) and the rest are other places you may need to cover.

- Equk - 1, 5

- Ham - 2, 1

- Hyper - 4, 1, 5

- Jiffz - 4, 3

- Oxo - 3, 1, 2

- Tangy - 1, 2

- Timmy - 3, 4

- Wayne-o - 5, 1

Tell me what you think of the positions, and whether you are not happy with your designated position. :stickpoke

***Note on position 1*** : You will play long for most rounds, but occasionally you can play up short. You can decide to do this yourself or I'll ask to play someone there. Best times to do this is if your getting hammered at long, only have a short range weapon, if they are rushing B a lot or if you want to catch them by suprise.

The advantage of playing up short is so you can rotate quicly into tunnels when a B rush is happening and take a few from behind. It is not a good idea to play up short A all the time because they will expect you there and easily nailed by grenades.

Might i suggest that A defender floats a bit more readily?

If by the time youre at long nobody has pushed though LA doors or B support has not heard anything in tunnels then get running straight back into A and set up a strong offensive position covering short. The call of a short from mid will come about the same time as you get back to A. This is assuming they rush that is. If theyre not rushing then at least you can defend A from short in the event of a long pick

And good work Jiffz :)

looks good to me mate, tangy can play mid aswell mind, and tangy and wayne cant access this part of the forums

I know that mate ;) . I had time to kill today so I thought I'd make it ready for when they do join and we enter leagues.

@ Llwyd. Cheers for the thanks Llwyd. Nice to know SOMEONE  appreciates my input :p. Ham has been playing the A defender position quite a lot recently and I think he's doing a grand job. So basically, your saying to wait at long for a bit and if there's no action to come back and expect a short rush?

meh, sorry but i have to disagree with you llwyd

its better for the a defender to stay close to long, and wait for the mid call to go to short...

if they do a delayed long rush, then u need both people there, whereas with a shirt rush, there is still plenty of time to rotate if the mid guy calls it.

it requires discipline, not sure how well you B team guys are working together yet but the way the first team does it is this...

a defender stays at long...

if mid guy calls short, a attacking player flashes short from pit/long, gives plenty of time for a defender to rotate

if mid guy gets smoked/flashed or loses sight of short, a defender rotates

if your mid guy isnt too hot on the comms, then yes, get rotating early, but otherwise rely on teamwork to cover both long and short...

I was thinking more of falling back a bit straight away as our short calls from mid are usually a little late. Also it depends on if the 2nd team do the mid-short rotation

personally id rarther have 1 person short or int site, and the other watching long from site, as uve got the cover from A and they cant plant the bomb untill theyve enterd the site, where as if we have 1 long, if he gets taken out they just rush long and the other guy wont have a chance

Good work Jiffz! I like it, on position 5 you can always crouch and hide behind the box outside B doors as some poeple forget to check there.

Now it just needs putting into action :)
