OC3D Webcasting - Your opinions needed!

As some of you guys may be aware, the OC3D team have been bouncing around some ideas for a service we would like to introduce. We need your opinions on this and we also want you guys to be able to get involved too. We are in the planning stages of rolling out a webcasting service, with some cool features, such as DJ sets, interviews, Q&A sessions as well as video content such as reviews, user rig showcases etc. We need the content to reflect what OC3D is all about, we could just broadcast music, but is that worthwhile? Anyone can do that, and we want to offer you guys something unique and interesting.

We know that the success of this lies on us providing what you guys want, and we are keen to hear what you think about it all. We would also love to hear from you if you are a budding or established DJ, as we will be looking for schedule slots to be filled.

Here's a few questions, just to get the ball rolling:

Probably the most important question, could you see yourself being interested in the new service?

What sort of content would interest you the most?

Can you think of any ideas for content we may have missed?

Would you like to get involved with the guys and help out in any way?

We really would like to hear any thoughts at all you have on the new service, so don't be shy and give a reply!

Cheers,

Stu

I can certainly say I'm interested in this. I've been listening to the radio the last two evenings and certainly enjoyed it.

I'm not too sure about some of the content items you have mentioned above. Sure, they are all cool but the problem is broadcasting them at the right time. If you for example broadcast the major items around 20.00 and 23.00 which are the most active times you would reach nearly all listeners. But if you repeat it too much the regulars will be able to predict what's going to be said. Proper announcements will certainly have to be made.

A video review could be broadcasted a few times assuming it takes about 10 minutes max. but would also need to be available as seperate stream on the site to reach googlers.

I do like the regular DJ sets we have at the moment though, and I certainly encourage that. It could also be an idea to have one of TTL's live shows as broadcasted ... yesterday? at a standard evening in the week or even more frequently.

Would you like to get involved with the guys and help out in any way?
Would love to, but I'm afraid I do not exactly have the skills :p

Definately!

User showcases, video reviews, maybe even branching out into gaming... i think OC3D has great potential...

Need help? im your man!

Thanks for your replies fellas.

What about the rest of you guys? We really need your input to ensure we get it right for you all. :)

I think the webcast is a great idea, although it'll eat my broadband uasge up, so I'll have to watch it sparingly. Maybe there could be an hourly news bulletin?

This sounds like a great idea to me :) I've always been a fan of video reviews and the like, so if pulled off properly, I think this could go very well for OC3D :)

Video hardware reviews, even just discussions between staff and such regarding the latest news would be interesting.
