Hey guys I just thought it would be interesting to see what is the game that the forum members enjoyed most in 2016 and why?. Please only choose 1 game
Most enjoyed, even though its 4 years old, Guild Wars 2 Started my own guild this year with godly funny people and its been one hell of a fun year with them. For a game that came out this year, there can only be one, Planet Coaster
If it has to be a 2016 release then mine would be: Factorio I enjoy the keep replaying and trying to optimise the factory and then to do it faster, plus the mods available can change it to a complete new game.
If it's a game I started playing 2016 it would be: FF XIV I love the story and how it gets you attached to the NPC's and you feel like you are part of the world and your efforts count for something
There really isn't anything I can think of that has gripped me enough this year, but if I had to pick something I'd have to go with Skyrim Special Edition.. The replay value is incredible.
I bought 4 games this year. Doom, NMS, Grim Dawn and FH3. I'd probably say Grim Dawn was the best of them, but really none of then deserve any accolades, spent like 100h between the lot.
2016 really was a bad year for new games, pretty much everything i looked forward to ended up being disappointing.
Assetto Corsa Porsche DLC was probably my highlight of the year.
The only game I've bought this year that actually came out this year has been DOOM. I also got the Skyrim Special Edition free but I don't count that as a 2016 game.
[Correction] I bought Forza Horizon 3 which despite its lack of optimisation is actually a very fun game. I hope Playground fixes the CPU load issues.
For me it's Overwatch without a question. It's both responsive, deep and certainly not something I expected from Blizzard for their first FPS. Also, even if the graphics aren't exactly mind-blowing, the design is great. Sounds are also really good.
It feels like utter bull until you get a proper feel of the heroes and their abilities, though, and that won't be improving since they're planning to add more heroes to the roster.
Basically I expected to be able to totally cheese the game with some CS:GO aim but I actually could not, there's much more to the game than aim and it feels quite right.
Though, as a gamer who rarely plays single player games I am quite limited in my choices.
