OC3D F@H Competition

So....with this competition going on, we can forget about the "big "F" day" topic don't we!?
smile.png

No, it's not forgotten about... infact this competition should add some hardware to the "big F day"

I don't understand why people aren't registering! From what I have gathered its not nessasarily just who gets the most points (because if it is, I may as well just pull out now

)

So if you have over 500k points REGISTER NOW!! Don't try and bring your average up, what's the point? Just get involved

Another little point to have a think about. If the person who gets the card(s) already has cards folding, then he won't get such a big increase in ppd as opposed to someone, say, like me

who has 2 servers with 2 PCI slots free. Just a thought!

My average is only going to go up ATM.

If I enter now with the average I currently have (3,000) I'm pretty much guaranteed to be in the final pickings, since I'll be churning out at least 5,000 a day if not more depending on how long the PC is on for.

To me that feels like cheating, whether or not it's outlined in the rules.

Any dips happening before the competition was announced is bound to be "not relevant" as noone knew the competition rules..
biggrin.png

And the average is just to see that you're atleast churning out the same amount as before..(and to be honest, if u get bad WU's u might see a dip from ur 5k to 3-4k, which is more than 10%) Just my 2 cents

I´m in.

where´s the link to enter in the competition and be able to register!? Or am i asking something stupid!?

If so.... sorry for my noobness!!!

Seen as, thanks to family issues, I can only fold 18 hours a day at most now and I have no idea where Stanford are going with their crazy WU valuations, I shall register my hardware and whatever Stanford's current valuation of it folding 18hrs a day is on TWO FX-8120s, a 1090T and TWO GT430s. That's anything from 25 to 60k, so I can't give you a definite figure.

I ofcourse have a lane and enough watts for any of those 560 variants.

Might want to add to the OP that entrants must be certain they have enough power and connectivity to fold on one of those cards. No good someone having a spare x16 lane and only a 250w PSU.

I´m in.

You just need to post your 24 hour average to register. I will add your name and average to the first post. Once your name is listed you are registered. Be sure to make sure I have it listed when you register.

Ok add me to the contest.

Zorin1 - 24 hour avg: 25,000

Just for team spirit

Matt

Added. Everyone up to this point should be added.

Everyone is added up to this point, be sure to make sure I listed you if you registered!

Are you not entering hmmblah?
smile.png

lol, I could always use more F@H hardware of course, but I don't think that would be fair to the rest of you.

Edit - JMMP and VengeanceUK, you need 500,000 points total to register.

OK I have my folding rig set up and it should be folding 24/7 from now. So as long as my average sorts itself out I will put myself into the comp.

It's quite fitting because should I win, this is the rig that the card would go in :)

wow cool comp tom i am new here so i can not enter but wow good luck to the people who have entered. I am 291 on that list lol :)
