There's still time to get your average back. That rule is in place so scores can't be artificially lowered.

I will work on getting my average back up before the comp starts. It is going to be tough with the comp running thru the middle of summer.
 
My average over several weeks full folding capacity comes out to be between 25K PPD and 35K PPD. I did have one week when I was at 46K PPD. I will need to get after it if I want to have a decent PPD prior to the July 1.

It's far cheaper to save the money on electric and buy your own stuff than to use folding to get nice swag. That said, this card is for folding. The winner will get more individual points, more team points, and more research to the cause. It's win-win for everyone. If you wish to bow out, I know we all respect that. Fold on!
 
This competition is not about winning stuff. This completion is to invoke a little friendly rivelry, and to boost interest in the team. The winners of the hardware will be given the hardware to use for the team.

Not to mention the added Power cost.

I would like to say that this competition has only added to the already insane craving I have for a dedicated Folding@Home Rig..

And by dedicated.. I mean DEDICATED!

  • Competition starts 00:00 July 1st and ends July 31st 24:00, all times in GMT.
  • Registration is open now until the 30th of this month. That gives us a day to check any last minute entries.

If I reach 500.000 points in time I will enter. I'm sitting at around 50k ppd at the time so I think it will be possible.

BTW is it UK only?

Once my EOC average is up to what it should be (probs give it a week) I'll register, I only started folding the day before the competition was announced so it's only fair.

If it looks like I can get my average back and will be able to fold all through July I will register. I should be able to get the folding rig up and crunching through that period.... time will tell.
