OC3D F@H Competition

Well done to all involved, not sure if we gained a team place or not in the last month but just shy of 2M points a day is bloody good going.
I started getting higher scores out of my system by dropping a pair of cores/threads off my CPU, also improved stability.
Glad it's not just us mere 50k point a day people who are suffering with crappy WU's.

Cheers
Lee

As you can see from the results, you guys didn't really narrow it down for us! It will make our jobs that much tougher.

I'm not sure how quick we will get the winner announced (My daughter was just born Monday morning, typing this from my laptop in a hospital room!) but we won't forget about it.

The last month we have really picked up production and we were no slouch before. This team has come so damn far, we all should be very proud!

There was a long period of time when I was first place, I'm talking months, where I "pushed" 10k PPD. We only had about 10 active folders then and points were a little different, but 50k PPD is nothing to bat an eye at.

I added a dedicated folding rig with a gtx 260 and a gtx 460 in. I got better numbers out of my main rig by only folding on 6 out of 8 threads, made the machine usable while keeping up around 25,000 including the 7970. Anyway I actually stopped in to congratulate hmmblah and mrs. Our 15 month old is walking and operating switches now it's brilliant fun.

gratz hmmblah on the new arrival, how long till you get her her own "dedicated folding rig"? lol
and a big gratz to all the competition participants

I didn't mean to take this OT, but thanks for the Congrats guys! Mom and baby are doing well and we are home from the hospital now. We named her Madison, btw.

Great name. Have you and Mom had the argument about shortening it to maddie when she grows up? Our little bloke is called Jacob, and I get crockery thrown at me if I call him Jake. :D a

Slightly off topic granted but as you're number 2 folder I reckon it can slide.

We'll definitely be calling her Maddie.

Here are the complete results for the competition:

Ironically my 3930k which have been throttling away on Linux with bigadv units.. now had to stop that, as Linux was moved to 16 cores for bigadv.. so back to the v7 for windows. :/ Weird that it coincided with the end of the competition?.

GLHF! everyone, and gl with Maddie:D

Congratulations on the new arrival Blah, sorry I'm a bit late but have been away awhile. ;)

Thanks!

Glad I kept my PPD up :D

Indeed. I was starting to get worried about you. ;)

Win or lose. The work you have put into this is really appreciated. Epecially at this time of chaos.

Thanks, I'm here to help the team. Sucks that it removed me from the comp though.

I wasn't aware of that change yet. Still not sure I agree with Stanford.

It doesn't help that I only have one rig to fold one and it is the rig I use for gaming. I really need to build a dedicated rig, which I'm planning to do at the end of this year or the start of next year.
