I'm sorry, I'm absolutely cracking up at the thought of putting a keyboard in the dishwasher or washing machine rofl!! :rollingla

I mean I know it'll probably be fine, but I can't stop laughing at the thought of it

My keyboard needs a bit of a clean actually, perhaps I'll have a bath with it :rotfl:

to properly clean your keyboard in the sink or dishwasher, there are a few things you need to do.

Take it apart as much as you can, take off side panels, keys, feet, etc. Get it as close to the moving parts and circuit boards as you can.

Wash it in the dishwasher, soak the keys in a bowl of hot soapy water.

Rinse.

Let it all dry out before you put it back together. The water won't hurt anything while it's unplugged, but if it's not dry... *zap* Your board is gone when you plug it in.

A while ago I kept finding ants around my keyboard in my hallway.. Thought a drink might have been spilled in there. Had to wash it so just took the whole thing apart and put the keys in a bowl of water and the rest just washed off with a wet sponge.

WD40 --- Invented as an electrical cleaner << shd clean it nicely

or u cld spring for actual electrical cleaner ..

NOTE if the KEYB is a Plactic membrane conductive affair the coke cld have corroded the conductive tracks -- buy conductive laquer and repaint em
