Probably, but the marketing fellows decided to give it an X to magicly boost sales
is that the intel xtreme profile
JUst to include my thoughts on the GTX 570 evga also has a 2.5GB version that is not much more expensive for some reason when I convert ot pounds but there is a $50 or so difference on the EVGA site. When I did the conversion from US dollars to british pounds it came in at 245.59 pounds, that's direct from the EVGA site.
Here's the link: http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=025-P3-1579-AR&family=GeForce 500 Series Family&sw=
I guess it's personal preference as the triple fans look ugly to me. However if you're looking to over clock without water cooling you GPU's it's hard to decide between the extra head room for OCing provided by the triple fans or the more than double the memory.
The fan's will be at the bottom and will be hardly visible, so it doesn't really matter. Plus the factory overclock is pretty good to begin with.![]()
OK guys I thought I'd let you know what I'v decided.

Now the only thing left on my "to-buy" list is a decent PSU. So if you guys have an idea's whats good and whats not let me know. I'v looked at some of the corsair stuff which looks pretty nice but apart from that, I haven't delved into the depths of PSU's.
Let me know your thought.
Many thanks guys
