Are you not in the habit of keeping/hoarding everything concerning computer components? Especially outer packaging?
The loft in my house has an extra layer of insulation from all the cardboard boxes and polystyrene chips that hardware comes packaged in! LOL. It got so bad at the beginning when I used my bedroom for storage that I was resigned to the sofa for sleeping! 8)
Oh well, it turns out that I don't need one - I had the current one repaired for free. (well I did most of the work!)
I was going to suggest the same as
fatty, and suspend the controller in pretty much the same way as it was before. And I'm pretty sure you could have used the old controller mounts and put them to some good use in your modded Lian-Li PC-V2000, this would involve a certain amount of knowledge and machining.
It doesn't half help having a friend who works in Engineering when doing these types of mod, in fact the things you could get up to with a fully tooled up lathe and universal milling machine!

I'm sure there must be some kind of call or desire for this type of one-off or exclusive job.
