No threads on the mach :/

Started to get my mach ready for fitting at the weekend, cut my case for the hose and the four bolts, tryed to put a bolt in and it would not go:O

So i took the case of the mach to see what the problem was, there was no thread in any of the hole`s,so in my haste i drilled the holes to take the bolts with a nut inside the mach, thinking about this it`s going to be a pain everytime i want to seperate the two i`ll have to take the mach panels off.

What are my options, was thinking of sticking the nut from inside but what will be strong enough.

Also i could tap them with a bigger nut but ive never done this before.

I'm not sure if I've go the right end of the stick, but you basically drilled the holes larger on the top of the Mach casing?

Did the holes not have nuts already fixed on the under side of the top of the Mach casing?

What part are you saying to tap?

From what I hear it sounds like you could do with spot welding the nuts on the under side, then you wouldn't have to take the Mach panels off each time you separate...

Yeh i drilled the holes to take the bolt that come with,so that i could put a nut on the end to secure it to the case.

Wasnt sure what was ment to be inside the screwholes, looks like they forgot to do it when mine was built, hence to tap a thread to take a larger bolt.

No nut or thread inside the mach at all, just my luck :eh: .

Was thinking of getting a m8 to spot weld me some nuts on for me that should be the best option i think, more hassle thats not needed

Thx.

Ok now have the mach out of the box,so i think i`ll go for the tack weld for the bolts option.

There are four rivets that hold the top, front and back, not a problem, first question, will this void my warranty if so i`ll not bother and put up with it and how do you get the little motherboard of the panel.
