Nikon D50 Lenses

So I've had my DSLR for a few years now and I'm looking to get a new lense.

I enjoy taking pictures up close (still haven't fiddled around with the AF's etc. but if anyone has any good tutorials please send them my way! )

Main point is to ask, what decent but cheap lenses can I get? Even though I've had the camera for so long I have no idea what to get for it. Kind of embarrassing really but I'd like to get back into photography.

The lense that came with it was the 18-55mm one.

Maybe look at something with a bit more zoom then, I picked up a 55-200mm for my 450D for around £120 delivered.

Also just bought a Canon 50mm F1.8 Prime for £62 off eBay, bargain!

You might want to try http://www.lensesforhire.co.uk/, they are pretty reasonable and it's a great way to test out new products. That, or go to a Jessops and pretend to want to buy a couple. Test them in store and then buy online.

That Sigma lense looks sweet, Marcus, if only it were cheaper, but I think I get the idea.
