Next gaming platform

What about taking an samsung smart tv 3d, 60", hdmi... etc inserting the best pc motherboard and use it as 1 platform. press power on the tv and win 8 logo, internet movies, tv, games... etc all in one single touch? would it work?
suggestions, comments anything accepted. just an idea

Agreed -

Any TV used as a monitor can look dull - more so on anything over about 27 inches

TVs are thin, PC components aren't.

Hmm, possible, I guess. Bloody hard work though. You don't get much, if any, free space in TV enclosures.
