New SSD choice - Need some help.

So,

I have a Samsung 120gb SSD where my OS is installed but I am seeing its too small and I want to upgrade to a bigger one.

My price range is below 200 Euros and I will be ordering from Coolmod here in Spain - so the only choices would be from here:

What looks interesting are the:

* Samsung EVO 250gb at 114.95 euros

* Samsung PRO 256gb at 161.95 euros

* Crucial M500 480gb at 198.95 euros

I have seen that Samsung is very good but I am not familiar with the Crucial M500, but with 480gb it seems like a nice choice.


Opinions pls?
 
bigger storage an crucial make good ssd's, the small speed difference wont be noticeable
 
Just had a look at the site you linked (coolmod) and they don't seem to stock the MX100 yet (which is basically the successor to the M500). Depending on how urgently you want/need the new drive you might want to wait a bit and get an MX100: it's a little cheaper (ca. 10€), has a little more storage (512 vs. 480), and is a little faster (performance is almost as good as the M550). I don't know when it'll be available in Spain, though.

Edit: whoopsy, looks like I didn't look too hard :D as Antony pointed out coolmod actually has the MX100 available, I'd get that one :)

Big fan of the Evo. Hard to beat for the money. Gets pretty high praise in reviews and from what I can tell on forums and customer reviews, theyre seeming to be pretty reliable. I bought a 250GB version a few months ago and am pleased with it. Got it for $140 at Best Buy and its worked great since.
 
May i ask why dont you think about the Kingston HyperX 240GB HYPERX 3K? its about 130€ and been my favorite for a long time,waiting to get back to work to get one and from what i've seen so far they're pretty good right or did is miss something? ^^
 
I am up for ideas - I sugested Samsung as the EVO series have gotten quite a few good reviews. HyperX seems also a good brand.

Just for the price then the Crucial MX100 512GB at 178.95 euros seems like a good buy - but maybe the EVO is better as its faster? Just the 512GB seems very nice.
 
yeah the Crucial seems very nice idd, try to check some reviews and comparisons between the evo and crucial one? Its a very nice price though for the amount of storage you'll get
