New reservoir advice

Hi,
My dual bay XSPC D5 res has sprung a leak, so that's getting returned to Specialtech.
However, they currently don't have any replacements, or any bay reservoirs that fit a D5 at all in stock.

So, what would you recommend?
I could order from elsewhere, but as they've been good in this order, and RMA I'd prefer to order from Specialtech - although I am feeling less and less inclined to due to the availability of my first, second and third choices with them.

I don't mind using a tube res, or just a standalone bay res, with the pump mounted elsewhere. However, I don't have time to mod so if this were to be the case, I'd need an easy way to mount a D5.
Is it possible to mount one to a fan/radiator in the floor?

Thanks!

I've got some resevoirs for sale that might suit your requirements.

Ill put them in the FS/W section this afternoon.

If interested take a look.

Yeah, delivery problems/delays are pretty much standard procedure for most water cooling manufacturers, especially the ones that produce in Europe (although I have not verified whether XSPC belongs to that group).

I still have a Raystorm Copper from XSPC for which my reseller (XSPC does not directly ship to where I live) cannot give me a delivery date. Might be a week, might be several months. Ah well .

Anyway, reservoirs: I have an Aquacomputer Aqualis. It's rather big, but build quality is absolutely awesome. And you can get D5 adapters to directly attach it to the pump. Not sure about specialtech, but Aquatuning carries them.

Alpenwasser, do you have one of the D5 pump mounts for the AC Aqualis? Wondering how you get on with it (it's on my buy list but dammit Aquatuning but ALL their prices up recently).

To the OP, I've shied away from bay reserviours with pump mounts because of the issues I've heard from people, plus the vibration in the case. I like the look and ease of them though. Couldn't you repair the one you have (not that you should have to of course).

No, I just have the regular version. I have two pumps in my my loop (well, I will have when I'm done with it ;)), and since I didn't want to get two Aqualises ($$$) but wanted a symmetrical setup, I went for two Alphacool acetal D5 tops. They're pretty nice, too.

Also, with the pump separate from the reservoir, vibrations are easier to dampen. For that reason I'm also not a big fan of bay res/pump combos, same as you.

I was all set to get 2 Aqualis with the aquabus enabled D5 pump bases, then when costing it with all the other stuff I need/want I had second thoughts! I can always add it later if deemed necessary. Just hope one D5 is enough for a 1080 radiator, should think so.

Yeah they really are expensive.

I ran a measly Eheim 1046 for a few years with one 1080 rad (Mora) with a CPU block and two Aquadrives and it did just fine. So a D5 should be ok for that, depending on what else you have in your loop.
