LOL, or those Aspire PSU's. I had one of them on my old P4 system OC'ed, w/my 6800...every time I fired up a game, ESPECAILLY 3DMark's, it'd start whining like a mofo!! The squeal would be higher, lower, etc!! :rollingla. I'd close the game, it'd dissapear! SOOOOOOO annoying. I RMA'ed it, got another, SAME THING!! I think the only reason the PSU was heavy was because they spent more on constructing the outside of the PSU than choosing quality innards!
That's when I was like, WTF. I had a 350w Enermax powering this system before, NO problems at all. Why did I upgrade? (Because I was getting my newcastle soon...). So, I demanded Newegg give me an exchange, put my Enermax 350w back in (which ran the system PERFECT w/ 2 HDD's & 2 Opticals), and I traded the Aspire for teh PSU I have now, and I love it

.
There's my story rofl. @ XMS, Setite--you're right. Why bash a reputable company for maybe a bad batch of PSU's? Things can happen. Look @ the problems & RMA's Frag went through with his OCZ! That could have been a "bad batch!" Anything's possible in the tech world. I'd say it was a bad batch because every other Enermax PSU review I've read/seen (and I've honestly read like 35 of them,) Enermax has done great...and nobody can deny how well they work. Fraggle has used one (same model as mine) in his moms rig, a guy in my CS clan was buildin a new comp, reccomended him my exact PSU. Work's great! My friend in georgia, same PSU as me...1.5 yrs old runnin an Overclocked 3000+ winnie on an MSI neo2 plat w/a 6800. So let's lay off the reputable companies.
