New Mouse, Keyboard & Mat Needed!

I don't like the feel of the Razer mouse lineups... The Logi's are like form-fitted to my hand. Performance-wise I don't think you would even been able to notice the slightest difference between the Razer and G5/G7.

The G5 weight system FTW!

I stay strong on my recommendations, if you like wireless get the G7, wired G5 ;) Razer can go suck the **** they have been already ;)

I don't like Razer mice either. They seem to have a lot of issues with some mobo's and the drivers I've heard are terribly buggy. Logitech on the other hand, they're ...

They're the same optical system, so there shouldn't be a noticable difference, but the razer just has some extras.

? Nope, the Copperhead, the G5 and the G7 are all laser, using the same agilent sensor although afaik the G7 uses the v2.

Was talking about my mouse and the diamondback that was actually being discussed. I fancy having the G5 as this razor is feeling too small for my hand :(

fair one. Yeh, the new razer shape is too small imo, the old BoomSlang was huge and was a good fit for big hands. Roll on BoomSlang II tbh.

Yeah and its weird cause I've had the mouse a long time. I think its the fact that the icemat does not like getting sweat on it and the the razor my hand is always trailing on the mousemat

disagree with you there.

first off all they dont support my mouse in xp64 which would be a very simple thing with setpoint and they have no plan to support it.

and their drivers are so incredibly bad you cant even imagine it.

i got mouseware installed and it keeps messing around with the buttons and i must use the installation cd for my keyboard for it to work.

if i download the latest setpoint or upgrade to it all hell brakes lose.

I don't use the drivers for either my logi keyboard or mouse.

On the Keyboard, the Internet, and Email buttons along with WMP and volume controls work without drivers. On the mouse the back and forward buttons work without drivers, so do the cruise buttons... so i don't bother. Sidescroll is buggy, plus with the Logi drivers I can't use my side buttons in CS... yet I rly dont use them anymore. I use the numbers to switch weapons now.

I could do with a new keyboard. At the mo i have the Cherry Cymotion that recharges the batteries with Solar power. Thats hellacool but after 2 years of overly hard usage Id like a change. if only for my fingers sake.

I looked and tried the G15 and the Saitek gaming keyboard and it just didnt have enough of a tactile feel for me personally. Saying that I loves the old school IBM clacky keyboards :D

anything newer than version 2.3 and my keyboard starts acting up so i wonder what to do when i get me a new mice.

would hate to get me a new keyboard and afraid a logitech mouse wont work for several different reasons.

Hmm, thats werid, maybe there was a conflict, you need to do a clean uninstall (manual registry and application data folder.. ect..) that might fix it?

tried installing fresh setpoint on a fresh windows installation failed.

tried updating setpoint on a fresh windows installation failed.

think the problem is the keyboard/mouse is logitech marked but not manufactured by logitech.

logitech doesnt even have the keyboard/mice on their homepage.

another problem is the mouse i got with the keyboard is really bad so im using a mx510 instead with mouseware installed.

setpoint 2.3 works for me so its not a big problem but annoying, espically as logitech is supposed to be good and make quality hardware.

logitech are somewhat over-rated imo. my headphones packed up after a week or two, as did several of their products in the past. also, their software is usually very buggy / tempremental..but that could just be my bad luck
