Hello everyone. I'm new here and enjoy reading everyone's reviews and honest opinions. I found this site many months ago on YouTube and I'm glad I finally registered. I've owned computers all the way back to the Odyssey gaming consule from the late 70's.

I will be building my first new PC and will be picking all your brains on advice and making the right choices in my build. I've been doing heavy research for the past 3 years and debating on either building a 1366 or 1155 PC with intense liquid cooling solutions.

I am now using an Alienware ALX that was built in July 2005.

AMD 64 X2 4800+

Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe

PC Power & Cooling 550 watt PSU

1 WD 10k Raptor - 70 gb.

2 Seagate 400 gb - 7200 rpm in a RAID 0 config.

1 XFX 8800 GTX

2 gigs of Corsair XMS DDR

Creative Audigy 4Pro Sound Card

Creative S750 7.1 Surround Speaker System

Just replaced my old Koolance PNP-01 Liquid cooling solution to the Koolance RP-980. I'm only cooling my CPU.

I guess its time to upgrade. LOL!

I'm basically going to be using it for gaming with two video cards. Also will be overclocking the video cards, CPU and RAM. Not to brag but money isn't the issue on my new build. I'm the type of person who keeps on waiting for the next generation of products to build the best computer on the market but never build the best cause I keep thinking that the grass is greener on the other side and I should wait a little longer.

But as I'm getting older and more humble, I need to forget about whats coming around the corner and build a new system and enjoy the gaming world before I'm laying on my death bed pondering why I waited so long to build that computer.

Anyway, please look out for my many noob posts on building advice.

Thanks for this time you have given me to introduce myself.

I hope all of you have a good Summer and I look forward in conversing with all of you real soon.

Peace.

P.S. I'll have to put up an avatar.

Hello everybody.

I found this site on YouTube a few days ago. I've owned computers for over 20 years starting with a ZX81 in 1983 (or was it earlier I forget in my old age). I've build a number of systems over the year but nothing for quite a while my current system was built in late 2005. I recently increased the memory and the guy at the store looked at me like I was crazy, "You want DDR ram as like in DDR 1".

I discovered the YouTube channel in my research for my next new system which will be based around the i7 2600K as its time I had a proper gaming rig.

I'm expecting to receive some money soon, in a week or two, and had a budget of around $2500 so at the moment I doing as much research as possible.

Hey guys,

SirPhilby here. I've been watching the Oc3d channel on youtube for a few months, came to the website read a few reviews then started lurking on the forums. Built my first PC last year and almost cried when around $1000 of gear didn't want to boot. Turns out I had the cabling for the CPU cooler wrapped around the fan. All went well after that and I've been having alot of fun with my 'pooter since. OC'ing, cable management, upgrades and pwning nubs.

So yeah... Hi!!!
