New graphics card - help please

xfx,asus, evga there all good makes the only diff is sometimes the warrenty and bundle, sometimes build quality if say its not a refrence cooler,never had a pny i usaly stick to the 3 i mentiond but evga were my best but xfx arnt shoddy at all

right so at moment its between 4890 and 275, would prefer to get 4890 to be honest cause of 30 pound less price

they both should work fine mate,have you got a SLImobo? if you do then get a 275 if you dont get a 4890 IMO as its cheaper save the £30 put it towards a fermi

have you checked your power supply wattage mate? i'd defo be worried about it as its an OEM system?

a 4890/gtx 275 needs atleast 500watts and a nice amperage

to find your power supply wattage you have to take the side of your computer and find something what looks like this and the wattage should be labeled on there

mm damn says on my power supply (on sticker) "contrinous output must not exceed 200 watts" or something

Dc output = (random stuff then) (+3.3v & +5V = 115 W Max)

Total output continious shall not exceed 250 watts

you will need atleast a 500w psu and yours only produces half that

i really suggest you go with a branded high warranty psu like corsair/ocz and tagan them cheap ones tend to blow up and take your whole system with it
