edit: sorry, just saw your most recent post. That looks pretty good, but with video and Photoshop work 500gb will snap up very fast.

Spoon - That looks like one to consider! Really solid all-rounder there.

I would prefer a 660 TI (I just prefer nVidia's drivers Catalyst has played havoc to a fair few colleagues / friends)
Air cooling is the way to go on that budget, and Noctua do a fantastic job. Case is personal preference, and I would put a little more into it, but once you have taken the above things into consideration it would be a £800 ~ build rather than a £700
£700 is a strange price point (in my opinion anyway) it's enough that you should be looking away from AMD (as their CPUs and chip sets are cheaper) but not quite enough for an intel build.

For cooling, I'll probably go for the NH-D14. That should give me enough overclocking headroom!
Looking good to me. I just like cases with side windows. If you're handy with tools you can add one later though, at minimal cost
But I wouldn't put any noctua fans on show.
Noctua would make so much more money if they used nicer colours.

The cooling will probably now be a H80i, with a pair of SP120 Quiet Edition's

Yep, I watched it last night coincidentally. Good clip. I understand the reason for using the same fans on each test but I disagree with it because they all come with their own fans. He should've used the stock fans with each. Not everyone wants to spend an extra $44 on fans for their new cooler. When I get an H100i I will not be replacing the fans any time soon.
to be fairer he should have done both. w/ stock and w/o stock fans
