Neoprene+ Prit-Stik

Hey peeps!

Almost finished my new Custom CPU hold-down but need to get the neoprene onto it.... is Prit-Stik ok? Will it eat into the neoprene and/or not stick properly?

lol you and your crazy mods. Keep up the good work. At a guess I'd say prit-stick would be fine if only a bit messy.

Yep solvent free - I just used the Power Pritt Gel on some neoprene and it seems to be okay

You can just use dielectric grease between layers...

From Mavs post in the custom-gasket thread...would the dielec break down the neoprene? I dont think many dielecs that we would use are petroleum based, but theres prob a few. If I REALLY thought my dielec was petrol-based, and I was smearing my socket and CPU with it...I wouldnt be so happy

Do you know how cold it will get? I dont know how well prit-stick stands up to getting cold.

Standard Mach evap head temps. -70 is ya believe the LCD . Seeing as the cold part isnt in direct contact with any prit-stik, it should be ok. I think

Nah, on peltier setups I put Dielectric grease everywhere. So far my neoprene hasn't melted away
