upgrading my amd phenom pc atm, got a new 970 am3+ chipset board new ddr3 ram and now i need a ssd to go with all of this. i am looking for 120-128Gb oof storage and so far i don't know which of these to go with...

ocz vertex 4 - new controller, somewhat better but still need updates. also comes with a higher price.

ocz vertex 3 - very popular i believe, had problems with firmware? but sorted?

ocz agility 3 - cheap alternative to vertex 3

corsair force gt - read some good reviews on this

crucial m4 - cheap, popular?

samsung 830 - good reviews also

kingston hyperx - havnt read alot bout this one, but specs look good.

any ideas which one is the best performer? i am planning to use as OS and gaming mainly.

im considering the hyper x 3k atm, has the latest sandforce controller, decent price tag and has a nice design to it.

I have 2 Corsair Froce GT's 120 gig and man are they fast. I would recommend these to anyone.

When I was looking at getting some I was going to go with with the Corsair force gt, the Kingston hyperx or the crucial m4. All 3 are phenomenal ssd's. I think you made a good choice! did it come with the new sandforce controller?

yh 2281 sandforce controller, good price from dabs.com so i'm happy, should arrive in 2 days, i'll post my thoughts on it once it comes in.

Crucial M4 / Samsung 830 mate. Both among the, if not THE, fastest SSD's available, and a lot more reliable than the sandforce SSD's.
