Need advice on a new rig (£1100-£1300 Budget)

Hi, the last rig I put together was put done so with a lot of help from you guys here on the forums and I have been very happy with the results. So I thought it would be wise to ask you guys for your opinions. I would like to add that this is going to be a gaming/video & image editing PC.

I'll now shut up and let you know what I have been looking at so far.

  • Asus Z87 MAXIMUS VI FORMULA Intel Z87
  • Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz
  • Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 16GB 2x8GB 1600MHz or 1866Mhz
  • 250GB Samsung 840 EVO Series SSD
  • Corsair Hydro H105
  • 860W Corsair AXi Series 80PLUS Platinum Modular Digital PSU
  • 2x Asus GeForce GTX 760 DirectCUII OC 2048MB
  • As for fans and cables I want to use the red Corsair braided cables and the SP120 quiet Ed fans on the rad.

I was looking at the 600T as a case I could use but it seems impossible to fit the Rad of the H105 in push-pull config inside the case(correct me if I'm wrong). I do however, love the new 760T and it seem to have more room for cooling too.

I may have missed something but I trust you guys will correct anything wrong or missing.

Thanks in advance, Metin.

Why the 760´s in SLI? I would go for a 780 or even a 780ti nad then next year when the prices for the 780´s are down then just pick up another and THEN get SLI.

If you like the 600T and are prepared to mod it a little then get it, you would have no problem fitting that amount of hardware inside it and in my opinion it's better looking than the 760T. You won't however fit a H105 in it especially with the MVIF because the heatsink is mahoosive but a H100i should be adequate for a 4670k. I would however suggest being prepared to dremel out the top mesh and the front mesh to allow two 120mm fans up front and less restrictive flow through your radiator.

Personally I would go for a single 780Ti and an AX760 non-I, either way you don't need an AX860 and I would never pay extra for the 'I' versions.

Also why not get Vengeance Pro Red? surely that would be more inkeeping with the colour scheme and do you really need 16GB, if 8 will do the job stick to that and throw more in later if needed. Also you should go for 1866MHz as there is only a small price difference and some usage situations will appreciate it now.

The H105 wont fit in the 600T at all.

Case wise wait for the 760T.

Mobo wise Id save money on that and put it towards the 4770K, the above infor about a single GPU is also spot on. Get a 780 or a 780 Ti. Id also get the RM750 power supply if you follow all the advise above.

Looks like the rig is shaping up now! I've checked out most if not all the mobos and thought this one was a bit more "future proof" being able to overclock easily so I'm now clueless on what to go for. I liked the G1 sniper z87 but its green.

Will the RM750 be enough once I decide to get a 2nd 780?
